Happy Vesak Day 🪷 Just a few doors from us on Keong Saik stands Zhun Ti Gong, a temple that has quietly been part of the neighbourhood’s story for generations.

Dedicated to the 18-armed Zhunti Bodhisattva, the temple is a beautiful example of Nanyang architecture, where traditional Chinese temple design meets Singapore’s heritage shophouse style. From the porcelain dragons and phoenixes that crown its roof ridge to the hand-painted tiles and artwork beneath its five-foot way, every detail reflects the rich cultural heritage woven into these streets.

As more teams look for smaller, more flexible spaces, we’ve been getting creative in how we customise and re-introduce larger units into a new space that still feels inspiring, intentional, and full of character.

This corner shophouse at 12 Keong Saik is a great example. Sitting at a lively, high-footfall junction, it has been thoughtfully spilt into two distinct offices while keeping its charm intact, from the natural light to the all-around windows frontage and brick character.

We’ve called this heritage neighbourhood home for over ten years, and it’s been a joy growing our adaptive reuse journey alongside a community of like-minded partners.

This starts with swapping old habits for more conscious, everyday choices, like using reusable dabao containers and boxes, introducing simple shifts that shape how we operate and, in turn, inspire our members to make the same change with us.

A new way to meet, right in the neighbourhood. We recently had the pleasure to welcome Tech59 and Vietnam Ventures into our Overlap Event Space at 1 Keong Saik, featuring an opening address by H.E Mr. Tran Phuoc Anh, Ambassador of Vietnam to Singapore.

Having spent a decade building co-working communities, we have seen how meetings have changed and Overlap was designed exactly for that. More dynamic and built to bounce off the energy in the room.
