Dear Singers, Opera Asia is honoured to host the 2nd Edition of the Sumi Jo International Competition in Asia: The Asia Pre-selection in 🇸🇬 !

🎶 50 singers will be selected for the Asia Pre-Selection to sing before the selected jury members and Maestra Sumi Jo herself 🎶

📍 Arts House Chamber, Singapore
🇫🇷 2 singers will be selected to perform in France
📍 Finals: Château de la Ferté-Imbault , July 5-11, 2026

✨OPERA ASIA INAUGURAL SUMMIT: Towards a shared operatic future🌟 📅 24 April 2026 spring marks the opening of Opera Asia’s first closed-door Opera Summit, bringing together industry leaders from across the region for open dialogue and shared vision.

Over the following two days, Opera Asia will host additional activities focused on collaboration, talent development, and reimagining how opera can connect with new audiences. Together, it promotes dialogue and exchange to support Asia’s growing role in shaping the future of global opera.

Singapore National Day with Diversity, Culture and Food celebration tomorrow at , tomorrow is the day! We are full house! After months or hard preparation. Thank you to the whole organising team, Singaporeans in Bayern, especially Norliza Asisi, head of the group and direct co-organiser with .asia , and all organisers Liz, Melissa Anne Ang Angela Leifeld Priscilla Schulz Lim , all arts groups (to be in a separate post), chefs, Catering Nita and Daniela Schnörzinger DTS Catering, , , Theatre Personell and Theater Heads KBB Chef , Operndirektorin .walz and Intendant for having us again this year. We are eternally grateful to be celebrating 60 years of independence and bilateral relations with you. 🇸🇬 🇩🇪
