✨ Chaplin Award Asia 2025: Celebrating Lee Jung-jae – A Visionary Force in Korean Cinema ✨
During the prestigious Tatler Ball in Singapore, Lee Jung-jae (이정재) — the celebrated South Korean actor, filmmaker, and entrepreneur — was honoured with the Chaplin Award in Asia 2025.
The award was presented by Kiera Chaplin, Founder and CEO of the Chaplin Awards, entrepreneur, model, and advocate for empowerment and creative legacy.
Lee Jung-jae, one of South Korea’s most influential cultural figures, has captivated audiences worldwide through his compelling performances in films such as Il Mare and The Housemaid, and his globally acclaimed role in Squid Game, which earned him a Primetime Emmy Award, Screen Actors Guild Award, and Critics’ Choice Television Award. His talent and vision have redefined modern Korean cinema.
In presenting this honour, Kiera Chaplin expressed how meaningful it was to celebrate artistic excellence and vision through the legacy of her grandfather, Charlie Chaplin. She shared that he would have been proud to see the award continue recognising individuals who, like Lee Jung-jae, use their art to inspire humanity and cultural progress.
