CONGRATULATIONS to TeamSG's Loh Kean Yew on finishing 2nd in the Men's Singles of the SGD$1.16 Million dollar Indonesia Open!

Just a few minutes ago in Bali, the 24 year old delivered a stellar performance against world no 2 Victor Axelsen in the grand final. But after 59 minutes of play, it was the reigning Olympic Singles champion from Denmark, taking the win 21-13, 9-21, 21-13.

This was Kean Yew's maiden appearance in a BWF Super 1000 final. And he picked up close to US$29,000 for finishing 2nd. Let’s Go πŸ‡ΈπŸ‡¬

: Team Singapore's Aloysius Yapp and Toh Lian Han are now 3 matches away from reaching the last 16 of the US Open 9-Ball Championship!

This morning in New Jersey, 8th ranked Aloysius defeated Reinaldo Dendariarena (Puerto Rico) 9-1. The 25 year old will next meet Poland's 41st ranked, Wojciech Szewczyk. As for Lian Han, he overcame Wu Kun Lin (Chinese Taipei) 9-5 - winner of the recent Diamond Las Vegas Open. And the 49 year old Singaporean will next be facing 31st ranked, Alex Pagulayan.

Meanwhile, TeamSG's Sharik Sayed lost to World Number 1 Shane Van Boening 9-6! Good effort by Sharik, who then proceeded to Round Loser 2 where he beat Shamel Alazzawi from Iraq 9-5. And 31 year old Sharik is now in Loser Round 3, where he'll play against Anthony Meglino from USA.
