This is another COVID pandemic story, but I promise that this can be your story too. Technically he’s my cousin’s bestie’s husband. Tier 3, we were like Party Friends where we only see each other during manual mahjong sessions (adhering to the SG Government regulation of course!). We had fun, we love socialising and love to create laughter and joy especially in the midst of this pandemic. But we w

ould only come together only if there’s a mahjong session, if there’s a party! (You would only keep a 五筒八筒 together if you are making something exciting!)
On a mahjong table with a 五筒八筒 together, we had fun and so did our friends, our fellow 六筒七筒. We slowly realised that we have more in common and our friendship evolved. 八筒 slowly became 七筒, then 六筒. Mahjong have brought us closer, and we created a friendship even during this pandemic. Perhaps my 八筒 has already evolved into a 五筒, but would only reveal when the timing is right.
