Refers to the development and application of technologies, to monitor and conserve the natural environment and resources, and curb the negative impacts of human involvement. Sectors of impact include soil, air, water and food in both rural and urban landscapes.

For Example: Rainforest Connection’s Guardian System which is
intended for forest-protection. The system combines solar-powered
sound sensors with artificial intelligence to detect and locate illicit
chainsaw use so that rangers can intervene.

This track focuses on upgrading manufacturing processes by the implementation of modern technologies such as automation, IOT, AI..etc. Adopting such technologies results in optimizing production, reducing costs, and improving quality

For Example: Robotic Arm from EEESE 2017 which is capable of performing more delicate tasks than many two- or three-finger grippers, this robotic arm fully mimics hand movements. It uses accelerometers and flex sensors to sense the hand movements, and can be used for tasks such as grasping and lifting.

Medtech 🩺

Raising awareness about medicine and health, creating new machines to protect people and improve their chances of treatment, finding new ways to save the medical history of patients, and making easy connections between them and doctors to improve medical care.

For Example: Mind-Controlled Wheelchair from EEESE 2016 Aimed at helping patients with locked-in syndrome, the project uses thought (neural impulses) to command the motorized wheelchair's motion. In addition, it uses sensors to avoid obstacles to ensure the safety and comfort of the user.

Gaming & Entertainment 🎮

Aiming at enabling the entertainment experience of the users by creating and improving components. Using diverse and complex technology such as digital media, graphics, and animation to help people relax and bring joy and convenience to people's spare time.

For Example: Wall of Pong in EEESE 2016 and it's the classic Pong game with a small twist. The ball is drawn using rotating lasers, and LDR sensors are employed in the paddles to detect collision. The project aims at providing a fun and cheap interactive game experience.
