Capital Paddle: UAE Two guys who paddled on Surf Skis from Dubai to Abu Dhabi over a three (3) day period, and did it for their company CSR called 'IHG Shelter in a Storm'.

Damian ten Bohmer and Angelo Vassiliades became the first two men to paddled surf skis from Dubai to Abu Dhabi. The duo accomplished their amazing 184km paddle over three (3) days on Thursday 11, Friday 12 & Saturday 13 December 2014 from InterContinental Dubai Festival City to InterContinental Abu Dhabi with a major stop at the new InterContinental Dubai Marina. This event was more than just join

ing the dots between the three InterContinental hotels in the UAE, it was also for a great cause. A total of over USD$3,500 was raised for IHG’s CSR arm called Shelter in a Storm, which streams funds towards rebuilding the lives of those communities that have suffered by natural disasters. This event would of course not have been possible without the gargantuan efforts and support from the coastal authorities in both Dubai and Abu Dhabi who were with us and ensured our safety every step of the way!

As we approach Saudi Founding Day this Thursday, I reflect on the incredible journey I've embarked upon since January 2009, when I first set foot in Saudi Arabia. Over these years, I've witnessed firsthand the remarkable transformation of this vibrant country, which has reshaped its skyline and place on the global stage. The spirit of innovation and the warm hospitality of its people have made my journey here truly unforgettable.

Celebrating Saudi Founding Day is a moment of pride and joy for me, as it symbolizes not just the rich history and cultural heritage of Saudi Arabia but also the boundless possibilities that lie ahead. It's a day to honour the past, cherish the present, and anticipate the future optimistically.

Here's to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia - may its journey continue to inspire and its vision for the future bring us all closer together. Happy Saudi Founding Day!

Dear Facebook community,

As we welcome the joyous occasion of Eid al-Fitr, let's take a moment to reflect on the significance of this beautiful festival. Eid al-Fitr marks the end of Ramadan, a month of fasting, prayers, and self-reflection. It is a time when Muslims around the world celebrate the completion of a spiritual journey, fostering unity and gratitude. 🕌

On this special day, let us appreciate the power of resilience, as we have come together to overcome challenges and grow stronger as a global community. Let us also embrace the spirit of giving, by extending our hands to those in need and supporting one another. 🤝

We can learn valuable lessons from the essence of Eid al-Fitr. In our pursuit of success, let's not forget the importance of empathy, compassion, and teamwork. Together, we can make a positive impact on our professional lives and the world around us. 🌍

Eid Mubarak to all who are celebrating! May this day bring peace, happiness, and prosperity to everyone. 💫🌟
