The ARTDOM Online Catalogue goes beyond design brands and collectible objects. Its Galleries section brings contemporary art and international galleries into the wider ARTDOM community.

The catalogue connects galleries and artists with collectors, designers, architects, and cultural professionals in Saudi Arabia, creating a space to discover new names and exchange ideas across different art and design cultures.

For participating galleries, the platform provides visibility beyond the exhibition itself. For Saudi Arabia’s professional and cultural community, it offers a new way to discover artists and galleries from around the world.

The Hardest Part Begins After the Megaproject

An ambitious masterplan can look impressive on paper. The real test begins once the doors open.
Saudi Arabia is moving from announcing major developments to creating places people will actually use, return to and live in. That shift raises a more demanding question: how do ambitious concepts become viable, desirable and economically sustainable destinations?

What kinds of projects will define the next stage — hotels, resorts, mixed-use developments, lifestyle destinations? And how can global hospitality standards be adapted to local culture, climate and changing guest expectations?

Saudi Arabia is also emerging as a major tourism destination, creating a new set of challenges for developers, operators and suppliers. Which companies will shape the design, construction and interiors of the region’s new hospitality projects? Which international players are competing for work, and what will it take to succeed in a market developing at this pace?

Rapid growth creates opportunities, but it also brings risks. How can the industry avoid the mistakes of regions that have gone through similarly rapid transformations? And what lessons can Saudi Arabia apply now, while the market is still taking shape?

This will be one of the discussions featured in the ARTDOM Riyadh business programme. We are delighted to introduce Alex Petunin – an artist, sculptor and architect whose work will be featured at ARTDOM Riyadh 2026.

Alex creates collectible objects at the intersection of art, science and architecture. His practice explores the dialogue between form, material and space – translating complex ideas into tangible, sculptural pieces that resonate with both precision and emotion.

His works have been exhibited internationally, acquired by museum and private collections, and realised for interior and urban public spaces around the world. Each piece carries a distinctive character – blending technical mastery with artistic vision.

Founded by Eng. Arwa Nasser Al Shathry, the Riyadh-based studio works across high-end residential interiors, focusing on bespoke design, refined materiality and carefully considered spaces.

Its approach combines contemporary luxury with a strong understanding of local context — creating interiors that feel individual, precise and relevant to the way people live today.

The studio’s work continues to gain international recognition. Most recently, two of its projects, ‘The Aurelia Residence’ and ‘Serene Modern Residence,’ were shortlisted as finalists in the SBID International Design Awards 2026.

We are pleased to have ARWA DESIGNS as part of the ARTDOM community and to highlight a Saudi practice contributing to the region’s evolving design landscape.
