We are glad to announce the call for applications for the IX Kazan OIC Youth Entrepreneurship Forum! On May 15-20 there will be held the 9th Kazan OIC Youth Entrepreneurship Forum. The Forum is organized by the Ministry of Youth Affairs of the Republic of Tatarstan, Eurasian Regional Center of Islamic Cooperation Youth Forum (ICYF-ERC) and Tatarstan Republic Youth Social Fund "Selet". The partners of the Forum are the Academy of Youth diplomacy, IT Park and SABAH.Lab. The Forum’s main goal is to support the startups from the OIC countries who are searching for market fit and venture capital. The Forum provides two critical things for startup success: money and support. Creating support through well-proven resources and mentors has always been at the core of what the Organizers do well during traditional OIC forums and this will be extended to all startups within our OIC community. The synergy and buzz of energy created by supervising such a highly motivated group and matching them with equally high-energy mentors is at the core of the program. Before the Forum, the participants will take part in the online accelerator that will be held in April, 2023 with participation of international experts discussing such topics as metrics improvement, investment attraction and venture capitals, business models and growth, storytelling, etc. On May 15-20 the participants from different parts of the world will gather in Kazan to take part in the sessions with experts and present their startups to the investors at the Demo day held within the XIV International economic forum «Russia – Islamic world: KazanForum». As part of the Forum, young entrepreneurs went on an engaging tour to Almetyevsk and its region, where they explored innovative projects and local initiatives in PJSC TATNEFT, RPA TN-BIOTECH.

In the tour they visited:
- School in Malbagush Village, where they were shown a plant microcloning lab where children cultivate seedlings and decorative flowers. One of our entrepreneurs even tried cloning a plant herself.
- Biogas Plant and Energy-Efficient Homes, where
entrepreneurs were introduced to how alternative energy sources and eco-friendly technologies are integrated into everyday life.
- Higher School of Oil. The campus impressed everyone with its modern facilities, offering students high-quality education and opportunities for professional growth.

The excursion demonstrated how innovation and tradition can coexist in one region. Participants saw that successful business is built not only on technology but also on caring for people and the environment 🌍

Words of gratitude to our organisers 🌟

XI Kazan OIC Youth Entrepreneurship Forum became an unforgettable event for young entrepreneurs, because within the framework of its main theme, the participants had not only the official sessions and ceremonies in Kazan Expo, but also visited local industries in the Republic of Chuvashia and Republic of Tatarstan.

This couldn’t be done without our honourable organisers, including:
- Tatarstan regional youth foundation “Selet”;
- Ministry of Youth Affairs of the Republic of Tatarstan;
- Eurasian Center of the Islamic Cooperation Youth Forum (ICYF-ERC);
- Academy of Youth Diplomacy.

International platform for dialogue and innovation

On May 16, Kazan hosted the closing ceremony of the XI Kazan OIS Youth Entrepreneurship Forum. The day began with the final pitching session, where young entrepreneurs presented their projects aimed at developing sustainable entrepreneurship in remote regions. Experts gave feedback on each presentation, noting the innovative approaches and social significance of the initiatives. Among the key topics of this year’s projects are Tourism & Creative Industries, Agriculture & Biotechnologies, Education & Digital Technologies, Infrastructure & Sustainable Development.

At the Closing Ceremony, guests and experts noted the uniqueness and initiative of each young entrepreneur. Participants discussed the Forum’s achievements, including the creation of an expert community, the development of initiatives and the strengthening of international cooperation.

The introduction of young entrepreneurs to Tatar culture continued at the Gala Lunch, where famous Tatar artists prepared a wonderful concert!

The forum became a place for inspiration, networking and practical training.

More initiative – more success in business 💡

The day in Kazan Expo was full of motivative speeches from honourable guests. Each of them wished our young entrepreneurs to be open minded, kindhearted and ambitious. Our guests pointed out that participants should improve their ideas step by step and reach the goals with the help of their families, friends and partners.

Young entrepreneurs also had a demo-presentation of the projects, which was quite informative and unique. Our participants received the feedback from professional experts, so now is the time for them to work on their projects in order to make them completed.

Moments of our cultural programme✨

Young entrepreneurs explored Republic of Tatarstan and Chuvash Republic and caught lots of bright impressions during these days. We had interesting scenic excursions:
- Kazan Sightseeing Tour;
- tour to Lake Chepkasskoye and Lake Sirekle with a traditional horse-drawn sleigh;
- visit to Halal Market, Central Shygyrdan mosque, local glamping and meat processing farm

On May 15, we started XI Kazan OIC Youth Entrepreneurship Forum 🌍

Selet-Batyr Youth Center kindly welcomed participants at the Opening Ceremony, attended by:
- Timur Suleymanov, Aide to the Rais of the Republic of Tatarstan, Head of the Regional Branch of the ‘Movement of the First’ in the Republic of Tatarstan;
- Rafig Ismayilov, Director General of ICYF-ERC;
- Rudolf Selivanov, Head of the Batyrevsky Municipal District of the Chuvash Republic;
- Kirill Lukin, Head of the Department of the Head of the Chuvash Republic for Youth Policy;
- Aygul Gabdrahmanova, Director of Selet Youth Center.

During the day participants had the networking sessions and started team work in 4 teams: Tourism & Creative Industries, Agriculture & Biotechnologies, Education & Digital Technologies, Infrastructure & Sustainable Development.

Young entrepreneurs also had tour to Lake Chepkasskoye and Lake Sirekle with a traditional horse-drawn sleigh and exhibition of local producers.

On 12-17 May, 2025 the annual large-scale OIC Youth Entrepreneurship Forum will be held in the Republic of Tatarstan within the XVI International Economic Forum «Russia – Islamic World: KazanForum».
