The Team Behind the Dream

The Ball Crew, The Clay Tamers, The Volunteers Dream Team, The Line Umpires & the people that you often don’t see but they are always there looking for the tournament wellbeing: doctor, physios, the cleaning staff, the bartenders, the drivers.

It takes a village. In this case an entire city (+other cities) to make a tournament be a successful one.

One of the most memorable moments of the AXERIA Open WTA 125 powered by INTARO Sport was undoubtedly Friday evening’s exhibition match on 31 July—a celebration of Romanian tennis and the remarkable women who helped shape its history.

The main attractions were Ruxandra Dragomir, former World No. 15 in singles and World No. 21 in doubles, and Raluca Olaru, former World No. 53 in singles and World No. 30 in doubles, who also began her tennis journey under the guidance of Ruxandra Dragomir.

The evening’s surprise came when Cătălina Cristea, former World No. 59 in singles and World No. 40 in doubles, stepped onto the court, reuniting with her former doubles partner, Ruxandra Dragomir.

It was an evening filled with smiles, great tennis, cherished memories, and heartfelt applause, giving the fans in Târgu Mureș the chance to watch three outstanding figures of Romanian women’s tennis share the court once again.

A heartfelt thank you to all three for being part of the AXERIA Open 2026 story and for continuing to inspire future generations of players and tennis fans alike. 💜🎾

Timp de 8 zile, Târgu Mureș a fosta capitala tenisului feminin. Singurul turneu WTA125 din România și singurul turneu WTA din săptămâna 27 iukie - 2 august din Europa a reunit jucătoare de valoare la prima ediție Axeria Open powered by INTARO Sport.

There are matches that are won on the court. But tournaments are won in the stands.

Throughout every day of the AXERIA Open powered by INTARO Sport, you were there. You joined us from the first matches of the day until the last point at night, applauding every rally and creating an atmosphere that our players truly felt and appreciated.

Thank you to everyone who braved the summer heat to enjoy world-class tennis. To those who chose to spend their days with us. To those who filled the Centre Court stands evening after evening and gave our tournament the energy every event hopes for.

A very special thank you goes to everyone who attended Finals Day. On 2 August, from 2:30 PM until nearly 7:30 PM, you stayed with us through both the doubles and singles finals, despite temperatures reaching 35°C (95°F) in the shade. Your passion, enthusiasm and love for tennis made the perfect ending to an unforgettable week.

Every cheer, every round of applause, every smile and every moment shared from the stands helped make the first edition of the AXERIA Open WTA 125 a remarkable success.

We hope you enjoyed this experience as much as we enjoyed welcoming you to INTARO Sport.
