Amellett, hogy neves művészeket hozunk el, küldetésünk felkutatni rejtett kincseket és feltörekvő tehetségeket a világ minden tájáról, hogy bemutassuk őket új élményekre nyitott közönségünknek. Néhány napra kis ablakokat nyitunk azokra a kulturális trendekre, melyek a közelmúltban nyomot hagytak a művészeti ágazatokban. Szeretjük összekapcsolni közösségünket friss, gondolatéb

resztő, inspiráló, kísérletező, határfeszegető vagy zsigerig ható élményekkel. Körbejárjuk a kortárs művészetek variációit előadásokon, műhelymunkákon, installációkon, koncerteken, kiállításokon, találkozásokon keresztül. Misiunea noastră este de a căuta comori ascunse, talente emergente și producții renumite din întreaga lume și de a le prezenta publicului nostru doritor de experiențe noi. Timp de câteva zile, deschidem mici ferestre asupra tendințelor culturale care și-au pus amprenta asupra lumii artistice. Ne place să conectăm comunitatea noastră la experiențe proaspete, provocatoare, inspiraționale, experimentale, inovatoare sau viscerale. Explorăm variațiile artei moderne, de la spectacole la instalații publice, ateliere, sesiuni live, concerte, expoziții, întâlniri. Besides inviting renowned artists, our mission is to seek out hidden gems and upcoming talents from all around the world, to present them to our open-minded audience. For a few days, we open small windows on the cultural trends that have recently made their mark in the world of arts. We love to connect our community to fresh, thought-provoking, inspiring, experimental, innovative or visceral experiences. We explore modern art variations from performances to public installations, workshops, live sessions, concerts, exhibitions etc. Come and pulsate with us!

A láthatatlan nőről sokféleképpen lehet beszélni: szavakkal, dallamokkal, mozdulatokkal és súlyos csendekkel. A 11. pulzArton cseppet sem láthatatlan női meghívottaink rengeteg merész és felszabadító pillanattal ajándékoztak meg. Köszönjük, hogy osztoztatok bennük!

Există multe moduri de a vorbi despre femeia invizibilă: prin cuvinte, melodii, mișcări și chiar tăceri grele. La pulzArt 11, invitatele noastre — deloc invizibile — ne-au dăruit nenumărate momente curajoase și eliberatoare. Vă mulțumim că le-ați prețuit alături de noi!

Gianina Cărbunariu poate face teatru fără actori și decor, iar lumea totuși va vorbi despre el mult timp de acum înainte. Dacă este nevoie, ea însăși devine tovarășa Iliescu. La pulzArt 11, Gianina a readus la viață povestea regizoarei Magda Bordeianu, fondatoarea Teatrului Studențesc Podul din București — o femeie despre care, fără Gianina, probabil am ști foarte puțin. Nu doar o regizoare, ci una dintre cele mai importante creatoare ale generației sale, care a modelat comunități și epoci. Magda by Gianina este un spectacol curajos, plin de umor acid și inteligență, cu un potențial comic uriaș (!), care tulbură lucrurile exact cât trebuie. Mulțumim, Gianina!

Gianina Cărbunariu színészek és díszlet nélkül is tud olyan színházat csinálni, amelyről még sokáig beszélnek. Ha kell, ő maga bújik Iliescu elvtárs bőrébe. A 11. pulzArton Magda Bordeianu rendezőnő, a bukaresti Padlásszínház alapítójának történetét idézte meg. Egy olyan nőét, akiről nélküle talán kevesen tudnánk, hogy nemcsak rendező volt, hanem nemzedéke egyik legfontosabb, közösség- és korszakformáló alkotója. A Magda by Gianina szókimondó, hatalmas komikus potenciállal (!) rendelkező előadás, ami pont annyira borzolta a kedélyeket, amennyire kellett. Köszönjük, Gianina!

Gianina Cărbunariu can do theatre without actors or set design, and people will still talk about for a long time to come. If needed, she takes on the role of Comrade Iliescu herself. At pulzArt 11, she evoked the story of director Magda Bordeianu, founder of Bucharest’s Attic Theatre, a woman we might hardly know of without her. Not only a director but one of her generation’s most important, community- and era-shaping creators. Magda by Gianina is a bold, sharply witty performance with immense comic potential (!), stirring things up just the right amount. Thank you, Gianina!

A Szubjektív Obiectiva Theodora a múlt és a jelen különleges találkozása volt. Török-Illyés Orsolya édesanyja, Illyés Kinga ikonikus vásárhelyi színésznő emlékét idézte meg konyhaszínházában a lakásban elszórt iratok, emlékek, fotók és frissen készült szilvás gombóc illata között. A közönség a Securitate lehallgatási jegyzőkönyvei alapján készült hangjátékot hallgatta, amely rendkívül személyes részleteken keresztül elevenítette meg egy nő egyéni sorsát, mindazonáltal egy egész korszak hangulatát. Köszönjük a mélyen emberi élményt!

„Obiectiva Theodora subiectivă” a fost o întâlnire unică între trecut și prezent. În spectacolul ei de teatru-bucătărie, Török-Illyés Orsolya a evocat memoria mamei sale, actrița emblematică Illyés Kinga, printre documente, amintiri, fotografii și aroma găluștelor cu prune proaspăt făcute. Publicul a ascultat o piesă sonoră bazată pe transcrieri reale ale Securității – o lucrare profund personală, care a readus la viață povestea unei femei excepționale și atmosfera unei întregi epoci. Mulțumim pentru această experiență profund umană!

Subjective Obiectiva Theodora was a unique encounter between past and present. In her kitchen-theatre performance, Orsolya Török-Illyés evoked the memory of her mother, iconic actress Kinga Illyés, among scattered documents, mementos, photographs, and the scent of freshly made plum dumplings. The audience listened to a sound play based on the Securitate’s real surveillance transcripts: a deeply personal work that brought to life the story of a singular woman, and the atmosphere of an entire era. Thank you for this profoundly human experience!

Tudtátok, hogy a zsánerirodalom első női írója, Mary Shelley tollából született meg Frankenstein? És azt, hogy a fantasy, sci-fi, vagy a krimi műfaját hogyan gazdagították a női írók által behozott filozófiai és pszichológiai megközelítések?
Szabó Eszter tartalmas, szép ívű előadása fel- és elénk tárta a sorok mögé és a világ szeme elől gyakran elrejtett női írók értékes alkotásait. A LibriM könyvesbolt meghitt hangulatában zajló beszélgetés felélesztette mindannyiunk olvasókedvét. Köszönjük!

Știați că prima scriitoare de literatură de gen, Mary Shelley, a dat viață lui Frankenstein? Sau, că genurile fantasy, science fiction sau polițist au fost îmbogățite de abordările filosofice și psihologice aduse de scriitoare?
Prezentarea bogată a lui Szabó Eszter a scos la lumină creațiile valoroase ale scriitoarelor care, se ascund în spatele rândurilor și adesea din fața ochilor lumii. Discuția, în ambient plăcut și primitor al librăriei LibriM, ne-a trezit tuturor pofta de lectură. Mulțumim!

And that the fantasy, sci-fi, and crime genres have been enriched by the philosophical and psychological perspectives brought by women writers? Eszter Szabó’s insightful and elegantly structured lecture revealed the valuable works of women authors—often hidden between the lines and from the eyes of the world. Párat pislogtunk, és már el is érkezett az utolsó nap. Lássuk, mit tartogat még: folytatódik a Giuvlipen ifjúsági színházműhely, délután várunk Török-Illyés Orsolya konyhaszínházába (köszönjük a nagyfokú érdeklődést, a helyek máris beteltek), majd Gianina Cărbunariu performatív felolvasásával zárjuk az idei fesztivált. Tartsatok velünk!

Am clipit și, dintr-odată, a sosit deja ultima zi! Să vedem ce ne mai așteaptă: atelierul de teatru pentru tineri Giuvlipen continuă, după-amiază pășim din nou în bucătăria teatrală a lui Török-Illyés Orsolya (vă mulțumim pentru interesul mare, toate locurile sunt deja ocupate), iar festivalul din acest an se va încheia cu lectura performativă semnată de Gianina Cărbunariu. Vă așteptăm cu drag!

We blinked, and suddenly it’s already the last day! Let’s see what’s still in store: the Giuvlipen youth theatre workshop continues, in the afternoon we’ll step into Török-Illyés Orsolya’s kitchen theatre again (thank you for your keen interest, all places are now taken), and we’ll close this year’s festival with Gianina Cărbunariu’s performative reading. A mikve csak a nőké. Itt gyűlnek össze, beszélgetnek, nevetnek, segítséget kérnek, ítélkeznek és elfogadnak. A teltházas Teátrumon a rituális fürdők intim jeleneteiből rajzolódott ki, mit jelent nőnek lenni egy zárt, férfiak uralta világban. Köszönjük az előadóknak a humort és érzékenységet, amellyel életre hívták Hadar Galron megrendítő történetét, minden percét élveztük!

Mikvea aparține femeilor. Este locul unde ele se adună pentru a vorbi, a râde, a cere ajutor, a judeca și a accepta. În spectacolul Teatrum, cu toate locurile epuizate, scenele intime ale băii rituale au dezvăluit ce înseamnă să fii femeie într-o lume izolată, condusă de bărbați. Le mulțumim din suflet interpreților pentru umorul și sensibilitatea cu care au dat viață poveștii emoționante scrise de Hadar Galron. Ne-a plăcut fiecare minut!

The mikveh belongs to women. It’s where they gather to talk, laugh, ask for help, judge, and accept. In the sold-out Teatrum performance, the intimate scenes of a ritual bath revealed what it means to be a woman in a secluded world ruled by men. Our heartfelt thanks to the performers for the humor and sensitivity through which they brought Hadar Galron’s moving story to life. We loved every minute of it!

Abordarea unor subiecte serioase într-un mod jucăuș – aceasta este magia atelierului de teatru Giuvlipen. Sub îndrumarea lui Kimberly Vintilă și Renata Teodora Cule, participanții au explorat corpul, limitele, consimțământul și dinamica puterii, folosind expresia artistică și gândirea critică drept instrumente. Dragi tineri, abia așteptăm să ne revedem mâine pentru o nouă rundă a acestei experiențe unice de educație prin teatru!

Komoly témákról derűs arccal beszélni. Ez a Giuvlipen színházműhely varázsa, ahol a résztvevők Kimberly Vintilă és Renata Teodora Cule vezetése alatt a testről, a határokról, a beleegyezésről és a hatalmi viszonyokról tanultak, a művészi kifejezést és kritikus gondolkodás segítségül hívva. Kedves fiatalok, holnap is várunk erre a különleges színházpedagógiai élményre!

Discussing heavy topics in a lighthearted way – that’s the magic of the Giuvlipen theatre workshop. Under the guidance of Kimberly Vintilă and Renata Teodora Cule, participants explored the body, boundaries, consent, and power dynamics, using artistic expression and critical thinking as their tools. Dear young people, we can’t wait to see you tomorrow for another round of this unique theatre-education experience!
