at the Roots Garden, bringing their rootical selection and powerful energy! 🔥

Mother Earth is a collective of selectress from Barcelona-Mexico united by the vibe of Reggae and Sound System culture.

Thanks to this friendship, they decided to merge their musical backgrounds and founded the collective at the beginning of 2020 with the intention of transmitting a message of love and knowledge through their selection and lyrics.

The collective is founded by Xel Selectress (selectress of Early UK and Roots Reggae), Jabari Wadada (singer since 2016, selectress and producer of the Kebra Wadada Records label) and Drea Selectress (selectress who loves Roots Reggae and Dub Stepper).

Since 2022, they lead as soundwomen their own Sound System called Kebra Wadada, self-managing and promoting with their team feminist music-cultural events in the neighbourhoods and bass scene of Barcelona.

From Germany to Portugal, along side .mc, explosive combination at the Dub Temple 🔥

Set Ambessa (Amharic: “Lioness”) is a dub project from Munich, known for powerful basslines, deep vibes, and strong messages. Lisa has been deeply rooted in soundsystem culture for over 15 years and stepped behind the turntables in 2019. Since then, she has been bringing her unique selections to dancefloors all over Europe. Set Ambessa has performed at numerous festivals, including Fusion Festival and Komod Festival, and has brought her sound to dancefloors in cities like Dijon, Dortmund, and Vienna.

Beyond DJing, she is also active as a promoter, hosting the Dubaffection series in Munich together with Dubrise Soundsystem as well as being part of the Rootsbase Crew at Fusion Festival.

Genre-fluid vocalist Wends has been rising up the UK Sound System scene since 2022, growing hype while mashing up dances across the country. Hailing from Glasgow, Wends combines reggae-inspired toasting and soulful singing while emceeing with fast, lyrically complex bars on a variety of soundystem
music like Dub & Reggae, Hip Hop, 140, Garage, Drum & Bass, Jungle and Latin Dance.

Wends has had a loud presence on the Scottish reggae scene, and more recently in the Scottish HipHop community- regularly joining acts like Conscious Route, Cenote Sound and Hometown Promotion Soundsystem on stage.
Having hosted many esteemed clubnights & soundsystems, Wends moved on to create her own ‘Wends & Friends’ club night with guest sound systems and a gender-balanced lineup.

Decades of sound, sessions, productions and music… is a true cornerstone in the history of Sound System culture.

Big respect to one of the foundation sounds still carrying the message and energy through generations. Don’t miss it!

Entebbe Soundsystem was born in the late 1970s in Hornsey, UK, formed by a group of school friends united by a deep love for roots reggae music, sound system culture, and the teachings of Rastafari. Inspired by foundation sounds such as Scrap Iron, Count Marshall and Black Star Liner, they spent their teenage years learning every aspect of the craft, from wiring amps and playing pre-amps to selecting records and understanding how to build a musical journey through sound.

Originally linked with Count Ding A Ling under the guidance of Daddy Roy (now known as Father Entebbe), the crew developed their vision through countless hours of dedication and study. As their consciousness and connection to Rastafari deepened, Jah Culture Sound was formed, before eventually evolving into what became Entebbe Soundsystem.

From their first sessions at Campsbourne School to dances, festivals and clashes across the UK, Entebbe built a strong reputation through decades of dedication to the music and message.

Discover the art of Adufe, from making it to playing it with .wood.craft 🪚

André Viegas is a multi-instrumentalist and instrument maker whose practice bridges performance, craftsmanship, and group facilitation. He previously taught music at Associação Lérias, working with both adults and children and developing a strong sensitivity to collective rhythm, listening, and participation across different experience levels.

Over the past three years, André has led a continuous programme of adufe construction workshops that naturally extend into guided learning of how to play the instrument. These sessions combine making, historical context, and embodied practice, allowing participants to understand the adufe as both an object and a living musical tradition. Workshops have taken place in diverse cultural contexts, including Espaço Cubos in Montemor‑o‑Novo, Casa Novo Bowing in Odemira, and Quinta da Ilha da Ribeira in Sintra.

We are very pleased and honored to welcome at the Dub Temple for this fifth edition of HIM Dub Festival 🔥

Rooted in the heart of Italy’s early roots and dub scene, Jah Fingers cut his teeth in the early 2000s with LDM, one of Italy’s most veteran sound systems, sharing stages and sessions with legends including Jah Shaka, Aba Shanti-I, King Shiloh, Channel One, Word Sound and Power, and many more. Alongside his sound system work, he ran Sankara Studio, which would go on to become Sankara Warriors Sound System.
In 2009 he relocated to England, where he deepened his roots working with Supertone Records, Barry Isaac and Reggae On Top, while continuing to play sessions across Europe, the UK, and Jamaica. A musician as well as a selector, he has also performed as a guitarist in backing bands for Sister Aisha, Earl 16, Michael Prophet, African Simba, and others. In 2012 he founded Jah Fingers Music, followed by Common Ground International in 2020, a label dedicated to repressing rare and hard-to-find reggae records and keeping the music alive for a new generation.
Though the label has taken centre stage in recent years, Jah Fingers still steps out to select at the right events, drawing from thirty years of dedicated digging between Jamaica and the UK, as well as his own catalogue. When he does play, it’s an occasion. Don’t miss it.

at the control! 🔥

A dedicated Roots selector, she delivers a conscious yet heavyweight selection, blending energy and deep skanking vibes in every session. Her sets dive into original cuts from the ’70s and ’80s, moving seamlessly from rare gems to exclusive dubplate mixes.

Between 2018 and 2019, she joined a collective as a selector, performing at a wide range of events including International Dub Gathering and beyond.

In 2019, she became part of Mina’s Collective alongside Laura and Txofi. Together, they performed across the national circuit and at internationally renowned festivals such as Rototom Sunsplash and International Dub Gathering.

During this same period, she began working closely with Jah Life Intl ,one of her main sources of inspiration, eventually becoming part of the crew. Her role extended beyond selection, contributing to technical and visual production as well as sound system setup. She has also performed as a selector with Jah Life at events such as Delta Dub, Late Night Roots Sessions, and their 10th anniversary celebrations.

It is through these experiences that she has truly developed her craft, growing both as a selector and as a passionate enthusiast of sound system culture.

Alongside her musical journey, she launched CoraWorks, a platform dedicated to promoting artists, music, and culture, while also creating artwork, posters, and merchandise for collectives she collaborates with.
