Faz hoje um mês que Portimão recebeu o Campeonato Mundial de Vela Adaptada, competição pela primeira vez a decorrer em Portugal e a maior de sempre quanto ao número de velejadores.

Com organização da Vela Solidária e do Iate Clube Marina Portimão, foi uma honra e com enorme orgulho que recebemos este evento, que pelo feedback recebido foi um sucesso!

A month ago today, Portimão hosted the World Adapted Sailing Championship, the first competition to be held in Portugal and the largest ever in terms of the number of sailors.

Organized by Vela Solidária and the Marina Portimão Yacht Club, it was an honour and with great pride that we hosted this event, which according to the feedback received was a success!

We set the challenge to our long-time partner and friend, Fundação Irene Rolo Fir, to 𝗰𝗿𝗲𝗮𝘁𝗲 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝘁𝗿𝗼𝗽𝗵𝗶𝗲𝘀 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝘃𝗲𝗿𝘆 𝘀𝗽𝗲𝗰𝗶𝗮𝗹 𝗮𝘄𝗮𝗿𝗱𝘀.

The Organization of Hansa Worlds Portimão Championship 2023 decided to award the 𝗥𝗲𝘀𝗶𝗹𝗶𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗦𝗮𝗶𝗹𝗼𝗿 𝗣𝗿𝗶𝘇𝗲 to 𝗠𝗮𝗿𝘆 𝗗𝘂𝗳𝗳𝘆 🇨🇮 and the three 𝗬𝗼𝘂𝗻𝗴𝗲𝘀𝘁 𝗦𝗮𝗶𝗹𝗼𝗿𝘀 in the race: 𝗖𝗹𝗮𝗿𝗮 𝗭𝘂𝗻𝗾𝘂𝗶𝗻, 12 years 🇫🇷, 𝗧𝗵𝗼𝗺𝗮𝘀 𝗖𝗮𝗿𝗿𝗲́, 13 years 🇫🇷, and 𝗔𝗹𝗲𝗷𝗮𝗻𝗱𝗿𝗮 𝗚𝗼𝗻𝘇𝗮́𝗹𝗲𝘇 𝗣𝗮𝗿𝗿𝗮, 13 years 🇪🇦.

Fundação Irene Rolo has many occupational activities for people with disabilities. Thank you so much!

"We have arrived at the end of the Hansa Worlds Portimão Championship. We hope you had a good experience, had fun and enjoyed the best of our country and our city - Portimão. Thank you for the spirit we have experienced here and for all the moments you've shared with us. It was unique.

Vela Solidária and the Iate Clube Marina Portimão would like to thank all the participants, partners, volunteers, friends and staff who made this event possible and the success it was.

It was a privilege for us to promote the Hansa Worlds Portimão Championship where determination defies all odds, we were immensely inspired by the athletes from the four corners of the world, who find opportunities in every wind regardless of the tides of life.
