As we conclude our participation at the Dubai Airshow 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟱, we leave inspired, well-connected, and with a clear strategy for the future.

Over five days of strategic engagement, we consolidated international partnerships, amplified the visibility of our unique aerospace ecosystem, and positioned the Ponte de Sor Aerodrome as a hub of innovation, advanced training, and aerospace excellence in Europe.

We engaged with leading companies, clusters, and institutions worldwide, explored high-potential investment opportunities, and advanced substantive discussions in Advanced Air Mobility (AAM), pilot training, MRO, aerospace manufacturing, emerging aviation technologies, talent development, and recruitment. Every interaction reinforced the message that Ponte de Sor is a prime destination for global partners and investors seeking sustainable growth and collaboration in aviation.

The next chapter now continues in Portugal.

𝗔𝗻𝗼𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗿 𝗺𝗶𝗹𝗲𝘀𝘁𝗼𝗻𝗲 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗣𝗼𝗻𝘁𝗲 𝗱𝗲 𝗦𝗼𝗿’𝘀 𝘃𝗶𝘀𝗶𝗼𝗻.

Our delegation stepped into day 4 at the Dubai Airshow 2025 with a full agenda of strategic meetings.

But the highlight came as 𝗠𝗿. 𝗥𝗼𝗴𝗲́𝗿𝗶𝗼 𝗔𝗹𝘃𝗲𝘀, 𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗠𝗮𝘆𝗼𝗿 𝗼𝗳 𝗣𝗼𝗻𝘁𝗲 𝗱𝗲 𝗦𝗼𝗿 announced, together with 𝗖𝗮𝗽𝘁𝗮𝗶𝗻 𝗪𝗶𝘀𝘀𝗮𝗺 𝗔𝗹 𝗠𝗲𝗵𝘆𝗼𝘂, 𝗙𝗼𝘂𝗻𝗱𝗲𝗿 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗖𝗘𝗢 𝗼𝗳 𝗜𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗰𝗼𝗻𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗮𝗹 𝗔𝘃𝗶𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗘𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗽𝗿𝗶𝘀𝗲, a significant investment of up to €4 million for the creation of a 𝗻𝗲𝘄 𝗮𝘃𝗶𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗮𝗰𝗮𝗱𝗲𝗺𝘆 𝗶𝗻 𝗣𝗼𝗻𝘁𝗲 𝗱𝗲 𝗦𝗼𝗿.
The project will cover 4,000 square meters inside the 𝗣𝗼𝗻𝘁𝗲 𝗱𝗲 𝗦𝗼𝗿 𝗠𝘂𝗻𝗶𝗰𝗶𝗽𝗮𝗹 𝗔𝗲𝗿𝗼𝗱𝗿𝗼𝗺𝗲 and follows the excellence standards of the 𝗜𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗻𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗹 𝗔𝘃𝗶𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗔𝗰𝗮𝗱𝗲𝗺𝘆 (𝗙𝗹𝘆𝗜𝗔𝗔), aiming to become one of the most sustainable and innovative training centers in Europe.

We also held meetings with leading aviation schools, like 𝗤𝗮𝘁𝗮𝗿 𝗔𝗲𝗿𝗼𝗻𝗮𝘂𝘁𝗶𝗰𝗮𝗹 𝗔𝗰𝗮𝗱𝗲𝗺𝘆(𝗤𝗔𝗔), to explore new synergies that will further expand the strong pilot and technical training ecosystem already established in Ponte de Sor and strengthen recruitment opportunities for newly certified professionals, as well as with the 𝗕𝗿𝗮𝘇𝗶𝗹𝗶𝗮𝗻 𝗔𝗲𝗿𝗼𝘀𝗽𝗮𝗰𝗲 𝗖𝗹𝘂𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗿, one of the most important in Latin America.

This is more than networking. It is building the future of aviation in Portugal, from Ponte de Sor.

𝗔𝗻𝗼𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗿 𝗶𝗻𝘀𝗽𝗶𝗿𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗱𝗮𝘆 𝗮𝘁 𝘁𝗵𝗲 Dubai Airshow 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟱 ✈️

Today had everything: innovation, global connections, new ideas, and a lot of energy on the runway.

From live Advanced Air Mobility (AAM) demonstrations to bold new eVTOL designs and cutting-edge AI applications, including autonomous drones and robots moving across the airshow grounds, the atmosphere was dynamic and forward-thinking, creating the perfect stage for our mission. As we proudly present our own ecosystem, including the 𝗣𝗼𝗻𝘁𝗲 𝗱𝗲 𝗦𝗼𝗿 𝗔𝗲𝗿𝗼𝗱𝗿𝗼𝗺𝗲 and the Portugal Air Summit, it is encouraging to see Portugal strengthening its role in Advanced Air Mobility, reinforced by the upcoming Advanced Air Mobility Summit next February at Taguspark.

And once again, our delegation used this momentum to do what we do best: build bridges, inspire partnerships, and open doors for future opportunities.

We held valuable meetings with companies from various aviation markets, including the 𝗨𝗻𝗶𝘁𝗲𝗱 𝗦𝘁𝗮𝘁𝗲𝘀, 𝗕𝗿𝗮𝘇𝗶𝗹, 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗨𝗔𝗘, 𝗔𝘂𝘀𝘁𝗿𝗮𝗹𝗶𝗮, 𝗖𝗵𝗶𝗻𝗮, 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗚𝗲𝗿𝗺𝗮𝗻𝘆, enhancing international ties and exploring potential collaborations.

One of the highlights was an important meeting with Embraer and a visit to the Lufthansa Technik booth, where we had the opportunity to introduce our cluster and present our infrastructures, showcasing our potential for future business development plans.

One of the highlights of the day was welcoming 𝗛𝗶𝘀 𝗘𝘅𝗰𝗲𝗹𝗹𝗲𝗻𝗰𝘆 𝗔𝗺𝗯𝗮𝘀𝘀𝗮𝗱𝗼𝗿 𝗙𝗲𝗿𝗻𝗮𝗻𝗱𝗼 𝗱’𝗢𝗿𝗲𝘆 𝗱𝗲 𝗕𝗿𝗶𝘁𝗼 𝗲 𝗖𝘂𝗻𝗵𝗮 𝗙𝗶𝗴𝘂𝗲𝗶𝗿𝗶𝗻𝗵𝗮𝘀 and the representative of AICEP, reinforcing Portugal’s presence at the Dubai Airshow 2025.
