We are back and ready to begin the year with a powerful theme: REBELLION ✊

Big uprisings and quiet refusals. The rule you broke on purpose—and the one you didn’t realize you were breaking until it was too late.

Give us stories of saying no, walking out, speaking up, burning bridges, disobeying, or staying when you were told to leave. Personal rebellions. Political rebellions. Small acts that felt enormous. Or large acts that did little.

As always, interpret the theme freely.

Storytelling was all about the good, bad, and ugly (mainly the latter two) bosses of our lives to end the year.

Thank you to our hosts and for being the bosses of the night, the audience who is always amazing, and our wonderful photographer 📸 for capturing the evening 💗

Our first attempt at an UNEXPECTED edition was—well—unexpectedly canceled. But our second attempt? An absolute success. We were lucky to have two amazing (and delightfully unexpected) hosts, .pdf and 💙, and storytellers who kept us on our toes all night.

We’ll see you again on December 10th for BOSSES. There are still a few spots left to tell a story… and let’s be honest, we all have at least one.

It has been many mornings after the morning after, our welcome back after the summer. Thanks to our storytellers especially those who got up and without preparation told us their stories.

We can’t wait to see everyone again at the end of the month for UNMASKED.

Halloween 🎃 inspired our theme for October: “UNMASKED.”

Tell us about the moment when something—or someone—was revealed. The friend who wasn’t who you thought they were. The lie that came undone. The secret that finally surfaced. Or the night when you saw behind the curtain and couldn’t unsee what was there.

Maybe it was shocking, hilarious, or heartbreakingly human. Maybe it changed how you saw someone—or how you saw yourself. We want the stories of truth breaking through disguise, of performances collapsing, of masks slipping in ways both small and seismic.

As always, interpret the theme freely.

Free entry (donation jar available). No experience needed. Just bring your truth.

Join us for a free one-night Storytelling Workshop in Lisbon!

We believe everyone has powerful and unique stories, and this workshop will give you practical tools to craft and share yours.

What you’ll learn:

🎙️How to transform life experiences into engaging stories

🎙️The difference between a topic and a story

🎙️What to edit out (and why)

🎙️How to use detail and structure to make your story unforgettable

The session will be led by .draw.monkeys , a writer for The Guardian, The Washington Post, and Marie Claire, and , the host of Storytelling Lisboa and Storytelling Barcelona. Together, they’ll share insights from years of writing, performing, and hosting storytelling nights.

This is a casual, beginner-friendly workshop. You won’t be asked to perform, but you will leave with tips, techniques, and a handout to help you bring your stories to life.

Estamos de volta! Agosto trouxe encontros, despedidas e saudades de contar e ouvir histórias. ✨

Abrimos a temporada com o tema SAUDADE, uma palavra que todos sentimos de forma especial em português.

Conta-nos histórias de saudade de ti, de locais, pessoas, músicas ou pelo contrário, momentos que não te deixam saudades. Traz toda a diversidade da experiência humana.
