Festival Iminente

Everything that happens in this festival is too new, experimental, unprecedented. Urban, explosive, energetic, exciting, ephemeral, unpredictable. In 2016, the town of Oeiras, Portugal, hosted the first edition of a festival that sought to combine the freshest music with the freshest art in an experience of intense collective intimacy. Everything that happened at the first Iminente had never been

done before. There was no evidence it would work, yet according to the public it wasn't just a success; it was a phenomenon. Three days of partying, expression and artistic provocation, practically for free. Iminente lives off small spaces. It's an intimate scene. Really close. It also seeks to break down barriers. Whatever they may be. The art is exhibited directly in the space, free of obstacles, either fully completed or still in production. The same is true of the music. The stages, when they do exist, are small. You can really rub shoulders with the musicians and experience everything up close. The key word is immersion. Or communion. Free of hassles. Tudo o que se passa neste festival é demasiado novo, experimental, inédito. Urbano, explosivo, enérgico, excitante, efémero, imprevisível. Em 2016, Oeiras foi palco da primeira edição de um festival que procurou juntar a nova música à nova arte numa experiência de intensa intimidade coletiva. Tudo o que se passou no primeiro Iminente nunca tinha sido feito. Pelo menos por nós. Não tínhamos provas de que iria funcionar, mas de acordo com o público não foi apenas um sucesso; foi um fenómeno. Três dias de festa, expressão e provocação artística, praticamente de graça. O Iminente vive de espaços pequenos. É uma cena íntima. Mesmo próxima. Também procura quebrar barreiras. Sejam elas quais forem. A arte é exposta directamente no espaço, sem obstáculos, ora já concluída, ora em execução. A música também. Os palcos, quando existem, são pequenos. Dá mesmo para estar em cima dos músicos e sentir tudo na pele. A palavra de ordem é imersão. Ou comunhão. Sem confusões. Uma espécie de reunião de amigos e conhecidos mas com muita gente.
