Last week our friends at A Cabine shared a small interview with us alongside a recording from the previous SUMMA gathering at OC in September. It’s the first ever SUMMA recording we’re sharing. It was a pleasure to dig a little into our past and explain our connection.

Miguel Mestre’s superpower is to make music and play it live. Seems like a minor feat? It isn’t. His home is Analytical Convenience, a collective and label that’s been putting out some of the most interesting dance music Portugal has produced recently.

A member of Hardware LIVE, he routinely joins 5 electronic friends on stage with no set roles and zero rehearsals, just their best machinery and each other. Together they created something special at Basilar 2025. As the rain came down mid-set, the crowd just kept dancing through their performance. They danced harder, if anything. Miguel called it one of his favourite musical moments ever. We believe him, because you can tell he means it.

This Saturday, M3STR plays live at SUMMA. 02h30-04h00. Come early.

We’re back. Yessir.

After a small hiatus, SUMMA returns to Outra Cena on March 14th for another session of fine dance electronics.

OC has been a keystone for Lisbon’s underground culture over the past 2 and a half years and many projects owe them a debt of gratitude for their openness and support. We do to, and we’re happy to be back and to present such a talent and bring our special light design to This Side. We missed it.

For this session, Enkō and CRAVO invite one of Portugal’s most talented newcomers and one of its biggest musical hopes: M3STR. The member of Hardware LIVE, who last year dazzled the crowd at Basilar Festival with its live improv session of techno electronica, is also part of Analytical Convenience, a collective and label from Porto whose top quality releases have been circling the scene, getting recognition and play time.

Note: M3STR will be playing live, so there will be a warm up and a closing slot either side of his performance which will be handled by the hosts.

SUMMA friends, a quick update.

Our event scheduled for 26 December 2025 at Outra Cena is officially postponed. Recent difficulties with the authorities required a reshuffle at the venue, and after speaking together with the Outra Cena team, we agreed this is the right decision. It gives them the room they need to defend the project and to rearrange part of the programme with clarity and care. Keeping OC afloat and economically viable is everyone’s priority, and ours too!

We stand fully with Outra Cena. The space matters, the work matters, the people matter. Regardless of this postponement, we want to meet you there again under the best possible conditions and are already making plans. We’ll return at the beginning of 2026 with news about our next date.

Thank you for the trust, the patience, and the energy you bring to SUMMA. We look forward to seeing you soon.

The only reasonable conclusion Enkō and Cravo could reach after working together at Hayes Collective was to create music together and start a new project in their hometown. Running SUMMA as a platform for national upcoming talent with minimum slots of 3 or 4 hours is something they feel proud of. Together they’ve developed a quiet but relentless language. Bass set against texture in an attempt to gain control over the body and the mind. Syncopation and hypnotism bound in a locked groove where techno dissolves into subgenres, hinting at the forbidden. SUMMA goes down to the depths of the obscure, a place far too dark to become a genre of its own.

Cizus draws some of the light back in and Outra Cena provides the perfect framework and ambience for it all to come together. Syncopation between space, light and sound, all moving in the same direction.

In Jesterr’s kick drum land, the room must move forward. His kindness, soft hands and sharp ears are the reason we value him so highly and why we wanted to bring him to SUMMA. Capable of building the vibe from the off, Ricardo’s style is full of swing and steel in equal parts, rhythmic yet atmospheric. An admirer of building momentum as opposed to going full party-mode, his long arcs reward the patient dance floor, flipping the room upside-down when we least expect it. Simple ideas carried with the nerve and softness of an artist who has blossomed into an accomplished performer in the past few years.

After appearing at Basilar Festival, Enkō and CRAVO return to their home room at Outra Cena. A space where abstraction and subtlety heighten SUMMA’s intent.

For this edition they invite Jesterr, a name that has pressed forward over the past few years with a super steady focus. He favours a dystopian tint and a hypnotic vibe, while staying outside the pull of current trends. The craft shows it. His sets feel dangerous but controlled, a classic recipe of tension and release, but with a splash of vertigo. The usual at SUMMA.

The pairing fits the moment. Two residents with long chemistry, one guest whose evolution speaks for itself, all but ready to propel the night upwards. Come early. Let the room do its work.
