Sofar Sounds é uma comunidade de música independente, que organiza performances em locais secretos e está em +300 cidades. No Porto desde Setembro de 2015.

Sofar significa Songs From A Room. Como o próprio nome indica, é um evento que se dedica a trazer o melhor da música emergente a espaços intimistas. O conceito ganhou vida em Londres e rapidamente se espalhou por mais de 370 cidades do mundo, incluindo Los Angeles, Nova Iorque, Berlim, Sidney, Seul, Santiago, entre outros, tendo contagiado Lisboa em 2014. Apenas na véspera é revelado o local e apenas no início do evento são conhecidos os artistas. Em cada Sofar participam 3 artistas, tendo cada um 30 minutos de atuação. Tonight our performers bring something intangible - depth of emotion you can sense in their presence. This is music played in earnest. Close and unhurried, amongst works of art. This time, a surprise: an artist from Latvia playing a national folk instrument, its strings holding a sound most of us have never heard live.
