Em 2026, o CIÊNCIA NA RUA Festival Internacional de Ciência e Arte regressa a Estremoz.
Um evento singular, organizado pelo Centro Ciência Viva de Estremoz e com Direção Artística da PIA Projectos de Intervenção Artística, que tem como propósito promover o encontro entre a ciência e as artes, transformando anualmente a cidade de Estremoz num grande palco de experimentação, criação e partilha.
Assente na valorização e comunicação dos processos científicos através do imaginário e da expressão artística, o CIÊNCIA NA RUA é um festival distinguido com o Selo de Qualidade EFFE – Europe for Festivals | Festivals for Europe.
A próxima edição decorrerá a 20 de Junho de 2026, em Estremoz, com o tema SUSTENTABILIDADE.
Nesse âmbito, é lançado um OPEN CALL dirigido à comunidade artística nacional e internacional, para apresentação de propostas no campo das artes performativas de rua dentro dos seus mais variados domínios, tendo as mesmas que se relacionar com a temática do festival.

In 2026, the CIÊNCIA NA RUA [Science in the Street] International Festival of Science and Art returns to Estremoz. A unique event, organized by the Centro Ciência Viva de Estremoz and under the Artistic Direction of PIA Projectos de Intervenção Artística, that aims to promote the intersection between science and the arts, transforming the city of Estremoz each year into a large open stage for experimentation, creation, and exchange.
Grounded in the appreciation and communication of scientific processes through imagination and artistic expression, CIÊNCIA NA RUA is a festival distinguished with the EFFE Quality Label – Europe for Festivals | Festivals for Europe.
The upcoming edition will take place on June 20th, 2026, in Estremoz, with the theme SUSTAINABILITY.
In this context, an OPEN CALL is launched for the national and international artistic community, inviting proposals in the field of street performing arts across its various disciplines, provided they relate to the festival’s theme.
