Four iconic circuits in one winter campaign 🏁

As tradition now dictates, we will once again head to four iconic Iberian circuits during the upcoming winter season: Portimão and Estoril in Portugal, alongside Valencia and Barcelona in Spain.

Each circuit has its own unique character, yet all feature highly technical sections, making them the perfect places to sharpen your skills over the winter in a competitive international drivers’ field.

On top of that, all four tracks are part of major summer championships, making the PSCSE the ideal preparation if you are aiming to compete in a series that visits one of these renowned venues.

Looking back at our season opener ⏪

The Porsche Sprint Challenge Southern Europe opened its season in Portimão with four action-packed races heavily influenced by wet and changing conditions. Rain played a major role throughout the weekend, forcing teams and drivers to make key tyre strategy decisions, creating exciting racing for both trackside spectators and fans watching live on YouTube.

In the first Sport Division race, Wouter Boerekamps took a gamble by switching early to slick tyres after the formation lap. The strategy paid off perfectly, allowing him to fight through the field and win ahead of Marco Giltrap and Tio Ellinas. Joep Muller claimed Rookie class victory, ahead of Levin Gelf and Jesse Polderdijk. The second Sport Division race was equally dramatic. Drivers started on slick tyres, but sudden rain forced teams into a last-minute decision to stay out or switch to wets. Marco Giltrap mastered the wet conditions to take the win, followed by Boerekamps and Nick Ho.

In the Club Division, Joel Monegro dominated the weekend, winning both races in commanding style. In Race 1, he finished far ahead of the field, with Javier Ripoll Jr and Levent Türkmen completing the podium. Race 2 began behind the safety car due to heavy rain, but Monegro once again proved untouchable, this time joined on the podium by teammate Eric Santos and Türkmen. Daniel Lewis delivered strong performances in the Porsche 718 Cayman GT4 RS Clubsport with finishes inside the top six in both races.

Let’s have a look back at the Spanish Rounds 🇪🇸

After the first two events in Portugal, the championship headed to the other side of the Iberian peninsula.

Starting the Spanish Rounds at the fast and flowing Circuit Ricardo Tormo in Valencia, the title fight truly came alive. In the Sport Division, Milan Marczak delivered a flawless weekend, converting two pole positions into two victories. Behind him, fierce battles unfolded with Tio Ellinas, Wouter Boerekamps and Hjelte Hoffner all fighting for crucial points.

In the Rookie class, Henry Wheeler secured a double victory, but Jesse Polderdijk managed to maintain his advantage in the standings, keeping the title fight open heading into the finale.

Over in the Club Division, the competition was just as intense. Javier Ripoll Jr. claimed his maiden PSCSE victory in Race 1, while Joel Monegro struck back in Race 2 to take a crucial win and the championship lead going into Barcelona.

The season then reached its climax at Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya. In the Sport Division, Matheus Ferreira stole the spotlight with a double victory, but consistent performances from Marczak were enough to secure him the 2026 Overall Championship. Meanwhile, Polderdijk sealed the Rookie title.

In the Club Division, multiple winners highlighted the depth of the field, but it was Monegro’s consistency that ultimately paid off, as he secured the championship ahead of Ripoll Jr. after another hard-fought weekend.

The Spanish rounds delivered title-defining moments and relentless battles; the perfect setting for a spectacular conclusion to the 2026 Porsche Sprint Challenge Southern Europe season 🏁
