O Festival de Cinema Acessível pretende assumir-se como um evento nacional dedicado à oferta de uma programação acessível, maioritariamente centrada no cinema e na oferta museológica em Bragança. 2019 marcou o nascimento do festival e, em 2020, introduzimos duas novidades: a Competição Nacional de Cinema Acessível,
que convida as várias instituições de ensino superior com formação em Tradução e particularmente Tradução Audiovisual a mostrar o trabalho que anda a ser realizado pelos seus alunos; e o alargamento do festival para dois inteiros. O programa inclui a habitual sessão de abertura e a sessão plenária a cargo do Cine-Clube de Avanca, nosso parceiro fundamental, assim como a exibição dos filmes em competição. O segundo dia do festival compreende a exibição dos filmes trabalhados pelos alunos do IPB que decorre em 2 momentos distintos: um com legendagem para surdos e ensurdecidos e outro com audiodescrição para pessoas cegas e com baixa visão. Para além disso, realizam-se duas visitas mediadas ao Centro de Arte Contemporânea Graça Morais e ao Museu do Abade de Baçal, uma com audiodescrição e a outra com Língua Gestual Portuguesa. The Accessible Film Festival intends to present itself as a national event dedicated to the offer of an accessible programming, mainly focused on cinema and the museological offer in Bragança. 2019 marked the birth of the festival and, in 2020, we introduced two new features: the National Accessible Film Competition, which invites various higher education institutions with training in Translation and particularly Audiovisual Translation to show the work being done by their students; and the enlargement of the festival to two whole ones. The program includes the usual opening session and the plenary session in charge of the Film Club de Avanca, as well as the screening of the films in competition. The second day of the festival includes the screening of the films prepared by the students of the IPB which takes place in two different moments: one with subtitles for the deaf and deafened and the other with audio description for the blind and low vision people. In addition, there are two mediated visits to the Graça Morais Contemporary Art Centre and the Museum of the Abade de Baçal, one with audio description and the other with Portuguese Sign Language.
