Pre-race Check-in done. Just see the photos!
The vibe in Nowy Targ was incredible.

Trackers are on, the briefing is completed, and the tension is building. Almost 90 riders are locked and loaded to start the Race Through Poland No.8 tomorrow morning at 5:00 AM, just after sunrise, and hit the Western Carpathians.
Stay tuned. The dots move at dawn!

Yes, this is still a core part of our pre-race check-in, happening every year just before the riders roll out.

New safety rule for No.8: a rear light must be turned ON for the entire duration of the race!

We are bold enough to bring this game-changing rule to life, thanks to our partnership with 🔥
Each rider will be equipped with a powerful and extremely reliable Knog PLUS rear light, providing that extra layer of safety and ultimate visibility on the road!

What is more, our bike check will once again be performed by our longtime friend , who has kept our riders' bikes safe for years.
Key elements he will double-check include:
- General bike condition, with a strict focus on brakes, wheels, and steering
- Helmets and reflectives
- Fully operational front and rear lights, plus a backup replacement in place

Riders must be fully prepared for another epic adventure in the wild and unpredictable Carpathian Mountains! See you all this Friday!

Soon! The 5AM sunrise start returns to Race Through Poland, and the No.8 hosting location will be the city of Nowy Targ.

We chose this hour for a couple of reasons: safety leaving the city until the crowd is out, the challenge of managing an early start, and the unprecedented power of first light. It’s a time that calls us all to begin a journey and adventure.

This year, the historic Market Square in Nowy Targ will gather riders from around the world. We’ll roll out together, taking our first pedal strokes in the crisp mountain air before heading towards the High Tatras.

A short, symbolic start will be the calm before the 1800 km and 900 km race begins.

The Podhale region is our starting gate. From the flat valley roads to the highest peaks of the Carpathians, the race truly begins the moment we leave the city lights behind. We can’t wait to follow every dot on the map!
