You get 20-30 minutes of fun discussion for/against in groups to make friends and then the option to speak as well for/against the motion, with a lot of fun opportunity to ask questions.

We are proud to announce that the Warsaw English Debate Club WhatsApp community has now grown to 400 members!

We are also delighted to consistently welcome a crowd of 50+ participants every Friday, making each debate evening a vibrant and dynamic exchange of perspectives.

A big thank you to everyone who contributes to building this community, both online and in person. We look forward to continuing to grow together and to many more insightful Fridays ahead!

Another engaging session at the Warsaw English Debate Club!

This week’s motion was: “This House Believes That Nuclear Development Contributes to Peace and Stability.”

After a thoughtful and lively debate, the results were as follows:
🔵 Proposition: 22 votes
🔴 Opposition: 13 votes

The proposition carried the day, winning the debate.

Another great evening of debate and intellectual exchange.

🧬 This House Believes That Genetic Modification of Human Embryos for the Enhancement of Physical and Cognitive Traits Should Be Legalized.

After a thoughtful and highly engaging discussion covering ethics, science, inequality, human progress, and the limits of technological intervention, the house voted:

🔵 Proposition: 11
🔴 Opposition: 24

🏛️ The motion therefore fell.

A huge thank you to everyone who spoke, challenged ideas from the floor, and contributed to such a fascinating debate on one of the most consequential questions of the future.
