We are delighted to announce the 5th Mokotów International Festival of Organ and Chamber Music, which begins this Sunday, 12 July 2026, with an opening concert at 6 pm at the National Shrine of St Andrew Bobola, 61 Rakowiecka Street, Warsaw.
The first concert will feature a Baroque trio comprising Joanna Morska-Osińska, Filip Zieliński and Michał Sawicki.
The programme will include early music works, such as those by Aldebrando Subissati, written for violin, theorbo and basso continuo.
The next chamber concert will take place on Wednesday 15 July at 8 pm. The programme will feature works for soprano and organ, as well as solo organ. The evening’s performers will be Małgorzata and Sylwester Trojanowski.
A highlight of this year’s edition will be a masterful piano recital by the world-renowned pianist Piotr Alexewicz – winner, amongst other honours, of the 5th Prize and the Audience Prize at the 19th International Fryderyk Chopin Piano Competition in Warsaw. The artist will perform works by Fryderyk Chopin, as well as Ottorino Respighi and Robert Schumann. We invite you to this event on Saturday, 18 July at 8 pm!
We will bring this year’s project to a close with a final organ recital on Sunday 19 July at 6 pm. Organist Sebastian Kuczyński will perform works by, amongst others, Dietrich Buxtehude, Johann Sebastian Bach, and the rarely performed Polish composer Augustyn Bloch.
Admission to all festival events is free.
The project is co-funded by the Mokotów District of the Capital City of Warsaw.
