Nie możemy się już doczekać ogłoszenia finałowej piątki 6. edycji AURORY 🔥
Został nieco ponad miesiąc!

A tymczasem wracamy do rozmowy z laureatem poprzedniej edycji – Michałem Kmiecikiem. 🏆

W wywiadzie dla „Scen”, który przeprowadziła Anita Nowak, opowiada m.in. o pracy nad nagrodzonym „Paprykarzem szczecińskim”, swojej współpracy z Marcinem Liberem i o tym, co aktualnie tworzy ✍️

To dobry moment, żeby nadrobić tę rozmowę – zanim poznamy tegorocznych finalistów 👀

[EN] We can’t share the finalists of this year’s AURORA just yet, but we can tell you this: it’s a record-breaking edition – 313 plays were submitted, 296 of them met the formal requirements and are eligible for the competition!⚡️🩷

The entries came from 25 countries across Central and Eastern Europe, the Balkans, the Caucasus and Central Asia 🌍

Next up ➡️ the jury (Goran Injac, Anna Jazgarska, Lena Laguszonkova, Agnieszka Lubomira Piotrowska) will select five finalist texts. 🔥

The final five will be announced in mid-May. Stay tuned!

Selected plays will be presented during the Prapremiery Festival, and the winner will receive 50,000 PLN. 🏆

[PL] Nie możemy jeszcze ogłosić finalistów tegorocznej AURORY, ale możemy zdradzić jedno: to rekordowa edycja!⚡️W tym roku zgłoszonych zostało aż 313 tekstów, z czego 296 spełniło warunki formalne i zakwalifikowało się do konkursu. 🩷

Zgłoszenia napłynęły z 25 krajów Europy Środkowej i Wschodniej, Bałkanów, Kaukazu i Azji Centralnej 🌍

There are only less than two weeks left before the open call for the 6th edition of AURORA. The Drama Award of the City of Bydgoszcz closes!

We are pleased to introduce this year’s International Jury:

⭐️ Goran Injac – dramaturg and festival curator, co-founder of the East European Performing Arts Platform, long engaged in building international networks in the field of performing arts.

⭐️ Anna Jazgarska – literary scholar and educator, theatre critic and juror of theatre competitions and festivals.

⭐️ Lena Laguszonkova – playwright, winner of The European New Talent Drama Award 2022 and two-time finalist of the AURORA Award.

⭐️ Agnieszka Lubomira Piotrowska – translator of Russian-language literature, expert in Russian theatre and culture, board member of Section C of the ZAiKS Authors’ Association, editor of the quarterly “ZAiKS Teatr”.

🏆 The winner will receive a cash prize of 50,000 PLN, and five finalists will be presented as staged readings during the second week of the 2026 Prapremiery Festival in Bydgoszcz.

Wspaniałe wieści przyszły do nas dzisiaj z Ministerstwo Kultury i Dziedzictwa Narodowego! 🩷✨

Otrzymaliśmy 210 000 zł dofinansowania w ramach programu „Teatr” na realizację jubileuszowej, 25. edycji Festiwalu Prapremier!🎭

To ogromne wyróżnienie i wsparcie dla wydarzenia, które od 2002 roku odbywa się w Bydgoszczy i na stałe wpisało się w teatralną mapę Polski i Europy.

Już wkrótce będziemy się pierwszymi informacjami o festiwalu – bądźcie czujni! ✨

Wonderful news reached us today from the Ministry of Culture and National Heritage ! 🩷✨

We have received PLN 210,000 in funding under the “Theatre” programme for the 25th anniversary edition of the Prapremiery Festival! 🎭

This is a great honour and important support for an event that has been held in Bydgoszcz since 2002 and has become a permanent fixture on the theatrical map of Poland and Europe!

Sooon we will be sharing the first details about the festival – so stay tuned! ✨
