📸 **Fast Forward: Women in Photography – for the first time in Poland**
Although some time has passed since **Fast Forward Conference 6: Beyond the Canon**, its impact continues through new collaborations, research projects, publications and conversations about women’s photographic histories.
In October 2025, Toruń welcomed researchers, curators and artists from around the world for three days of inspiring discussions on exhibiting, collecting and rewriting the history of photography through women’s perspectives. The conference featured keynote lectures by **Marie Robert** (Musée d’Orsay, Paris) and **Val Williams** (University of the Arts London), alongside presentations by leading scholars and curators from across Europe, Africa, Asia and the Americas.
Vintage Photo Festival was proud to co-organise this exceptional event together with **Fast Forward: Women in Photography**, **Nicolaus Copernicus University in Toruń** and **Fundacja Fotografistka**.
The dissemination of the conference outcomes was made possible thanks to the generous support of **British Council Poland**. We are grateful for their commitment to international academic collaboration and projects dedicated to women’s photographic history.
