The newly founded Krzyżowa-Music is an ambitious chamber music festival. "Senior"- and "Junior" musicians come together to develop a program on-site for the festival and each year the workshop will culminate in a series of concerts in Poland (Lower Silesia). It is coupled with an international tour which will make Krzyżowa-Music

resonate throughout Europe. From the summer of 2015 onwards Krzyżowa, Poland, a place that like no other stands for exchange of thoughts, culture and the European ideal, will offer internationally acclaimed artists and young, aspiring musicians the opportunity to live, rehearse and take part in performances together. Krzyżowa-Music to mistrzowskiej klasy warsztaty muzyczne o charakterze festiwalu. W miejscu, które jak żadne inne jest symbolem wymiany kulturowej i porozumienia europejskiego, począwszy od lata 2015 r., światowej sławy artyści będą wymieniać się doświadczeniami, komponować, a następnie wspólnie koncer-tować z wysoce utalentowanymi młodymi muzykami. Po koncertach na Dolnym Śląsku, Krzyżowa-Music zabrzmi w całej Europie poprzez tournées oraz zaplanowane Krzyżowa-Music Sessions.

We are looking for Festival Assistants for the 2026 edition. Spend three weeks this summer working with an international team, supporting concerts, artists and festival operations while gaining valuable experience behind the scenes of a chamber music festival.
You will be involved in different areas of the festival, from concert and stage support to artist care, event organisation, social media, ticketing or visitor services. We want you to contribute your own strengths and ideas to the festival.
We are looking for team players with strong communication skills, good English (German or Polish are a plus) and an interest in music, art and culture.
We offer insight into the organisation of an international music festival, the chance to attend concerts and masterclasses with renowned artists, and a paid internship including travel, accommodation and meals.

16:15/ Premiera w Teatrze Układ Formalny. GWIAZDY TAŃCZĄ NA GŁODZIE to komedia. Reżyseruje autor sztuki Michał Walczak, na co dzień dyrektor warszawskiego Teatr Rampa, twórca słynnego Pożar W Burdelu. We wrocławskiej kamienicy kręcone jest telewizyjne show z celebrytami na... odwyku. Są też elementy kryminału i horroru. Opowiadają Michał Walczak i aktor Rafał Pietrzak.

17:00/ Znana nam dobrze Krzyżowa-Music ma nowy projekt, firmowany przez Fundację Muzyka dla Europy. Pierwszy koncert już 8 lutego w Salonie Herz przy wrocławskim Placu Solnym (OP ENHEIM). O szczegółach, planach i ideach Agnieszka Wróblewska i Mateusz Rusowicz.

18:00/ Irek Grin. Właśnie zakończył swoją pracę (i misję) jako dyrektor Wrocławski Dom Literatury. Koncentruje się teraz na działalności Fundacja Olgi Tokarczuk jako jej prezes. Poza tym ciągle organizuje swoje flagowe imprezy: Bruno Schulz. Festiwal i Międzynarodowy Festiwal Kryminału. To czas na spojrzenie wstecz (był wszak w 2016 roku kuratorem ESK) i zapowiedź nowego. Czyli, jak pisała inna Noblistka, "koniec i początek".

VERKLÄRTE NACHT - MRIYA Orchestra & Krzyżowa-Music
Konzert am 18. Dezember 2025 um 19.30 Uhr
in der Laeiszhalle Hamburg

Das ukrainische MRIYA Orchestra kehrt am 18. Dezember 2025 zusammen mit Krzyżowa-Music mit dem Programm „Verklärte Nacht“ in die Laeiszhalle Hamburg zurück. Das MRIYA Orchestra, das seit seiner Gründung 2022 im Exil über 120 Konzerte in renommierten europäischen Sälen wie der Berliner Philharmonie, der Elbphilharmonie und dem Musikverein Wien gespielt hat, verbindet in diesem Abend klassische Traditionen mit zeitgenössischer ukrainischer Musik. Gemeinsam setzen das MRIYA Orchestra und Krzyżowa-Music ein starkes kulturelles Zeichen der Verbundenheit zwischen Deutschland, Polen und der Ukraine.

Aufgeführt werden Werke von C. P. E. Bach, Zoltan Almashi, Valentin Silvestrov, Arnold Schönberg und Anna Kuzina-Rozhdestvenska, mit Kateryna Suprun (Viola) und Artem Yasynskyy (Klavier) unter der Leitung von Roc Fargas. Gleichzeitig beginnt der Vorverkauf für das erste Album des Orchesters. Gefördert von GVL und der Claussen-Simon-Stiftung.

We are shocked and deeply saddened by the sudden passing of Elżbieta Penderecka.

The Polish cultural world has lost one of its most important figures. Mrs. Penderecka was not only a leading presence in Poland’s musical life, but also deeply respected and loved around the world — admired for her lifelong devotion to music, her generosity, and her extraordinary warmth.

Krzyżowa Music is profoundly grateful for her genuine interest in our concerts and our festival, and for her kind invitations to perform at Lusławice and at Beethoven Festival in Warsaw.

We will forever remember her kindness, her encouragement, and the heartfelt moments we were privileged to share with her.

It feels surreal but this is the last post on our concerts in Krzyżowa (don’t worry, tough, we‘ll still continue with other impressions of the incredible two weeks together).
TIME FLEW BY! Last Sunday marked the closing concert of this year‘s edition of our festival and these pictures make us feel quite wistful. We already miss you all a bunch! 🫶🏼

Saturdays at Krzyżowa-Music are always the most intense as we’ve got two concerts – evening and night. This density really creates its own charm. And the intensity was even further increased by the incredible variety of composers we got to listen to: Kraśa, Shostakovich, Penderecki, Gubaidulina, Ravel, Dean, Kattenburg and Hindemith… WOW!!!😮‍💨
