Cristiano Ronaldo's initial season in Saudi Arabia didn't quite meet expectations. Although he scored numerous goals, he didn't manage to secure a trophy for Al-Nassr, an uncommon occurrence for the legendary Portuguese player.
However, the current season has brought a different atmosphere right from the start. They clinched victory in the Arab Club Champions Cup by defeating Al-Hilal in extra time, and they also secured a spot in the 2023-2024 AFC Champions League with a remarkable comeback win in the playoff round. Ronaldo played a pivotal role in both achievements, particularly in the Cup final where he netted twice.
Despite facing two losses at the beginning of their campaign in the Saudi Pro League, the team has made a strong comeback over the last three matchdays, largely thanks to Ronaldo's outstanding performances. In their recent 5-1 victory over Al-Hazem, Ronaldo once again found the back of the net and contributed with two assists.
His latest goal marked his sixth in the past three games, and he has also provided four assists during this same period. Currently, he leads the league in both goal-scoring and assists.
With Ronaldo in exceptional form, Al-Nassr has high hopes of securing more trophies in the near future. They are now only four points behind the league leaders in the standings.
