An organizer's nightmare...

CEBU PROVINCE MARATHON 2025 CANCELED

The Cebu Province Marathon officially announced through its official social media page that the much-anticipated CPF – Cebu Province Marathon 2025, scheduled for August, has been canceled.

One of the main reasons for the cancellation is the ongoing “internal transition” within the administration and management of the Cebu Provincial Government.

It clarified that all registered participants are entitled to a refund.

The organizers also expressed gratitude to everyone who showed their support for the marathon.

The event was originally part of the month-long founding anniversary celebration of the Province of Cebu. | via ANV

NO OFFICIAL CHIP TIME?

Even in World Marathon Majors, these things happen. We experienced it during our Milo National Qualifying runs.

Such incidents occur when:
1. a runner has a defective timing chip,
2. a runner wrongly positioned his timing chip as instructed,
3. a scanner failed to capture a passing timing chip,
4. a runner registered late and failed to sync his chip's data with the timing systems.

If it occured to you, don't panic. Your timing officials will always work with you.
