Closing Ceremony Concludes RSCUAA 2023
Dedicated athletes, coaches, and supporters from 13 different State Universities and Colleges (SUC) in Region 6 gathered for one last time to exhibit the spirit of solidarity and sportsmanship held at CHMSU Gymnasium today, September 15.
West Visayas State University was proclaimed the overall champion with a total of 104 medals: 41 gold, 28 silver, and 35 bronze.
Iloilo Science and Technology University earned 39 gold, 37 silver, and 21 bronze; with 97 medals, it paved its way to the 1st runner-up.
Guimaras State University climbed the leaderboard to be the 2nd runner-up, garnering 64 medals: 24 gold, 24 silver, and 16 bronze.
The University of Antique made it to the top 5, ranked as the 3rd runner-up with 71 medals: 21 gold, 14 silver, and 36 bronze.
Iloilo State University of Fisheries Science and Technology was awarded as the 4th runner-up with a total of 49 medals: 17 gold, 16 silver, and 16 bronze.
Sports directors were also given a token as an expression of appreciation for their passion, hard work, and dedication in making this year's RSCUAA a successful event.
"Sa inyong pag-uwi mga athletes, coaches dalhin niyo, we salute you! At sana maging ligtas tayo palagi and see you supporting the 2023 National SCUAA," Dr. Norberto P. Mangulabnan, the University President of CHMSU, said as he delivered his message of gratitude.
The closing ceremony wrapped up a week of combative spirits battling in different sports. It showcased Region 6 unity strengthened through sports toward excellence.
