Various activities including the Fluvial Parade, Street Dancing Competition, Mutya sa Tagbilaran, Nightly Entertainment, Carnival, Sports and Saulog Concerts... Believing that Tagbilaranons should manifest strength and unity as a people, even in the midst of devastating calamities, Tagbilaran City Mayor John Geesnell L. Yap II created the working committees tasked to ensure the success of “Saulog

sa Tagbilaran,” an activity which brings to the fore the virtues of Saint Joseph as a loving father and devoted worker, intended to showcase the city's cultural heritage and tourism potentials as well, in cognizance with the Provincial Government of Bohol‘s thrust of promoting the tourism industry. Considering its impact on the people, paying homage to Saint Joseph the Worker, the patron saint of Tagbilaran, every May 1, coinciding with the Labor Day observance, has become a great inspiration in the creation of “Saulog sa Tagbilaran.”

To add fanfare, the City Government of Tagbilaran, at the helm of the preparations of the significant celebration slated April 22 to May 1, has lined up various activities including the fluvial parade, streetdancing competition, Mutya sa Tagbilaran 2014, nightly entertainment, carnival, sports activities, and “Kumbira sa Tagbilaran.” Working committees had been created, each with specific functions, to conduct regular coordination meetings and render progress reports to ensure success of the events.
