📣 Important Announcement – Evaluation Update
As part of our commitment to integrity, transparency, and fairness, the following film entries in the Sinilarak 2025 Disaster Resilience Student Film Fest will receive a 10-point deduction from their final scores due to non-compliance with the official guidelines:
🔻 Did not meet the required runtime (5–10 minutes, excluding end credits):
• Paglaom
• An Hinumduman han Uran
• Siring han Signal
🔻 Director and writer not enrolled in DRR 113 for the 2nd semester of SY 2024–2025 (requirement for eligibility):
• Buzzer Be**er
🔻While the rest of the cast for "Buzzer Be**er" has been considered eligible, it’s important to note that the director and writer play a central role in the creative and conceptual development of a film. Their involvement is significant and foundational, which is why eligibility requirements apply strictly to these key roles.
These decisions were made following a thorough and careful review of the guidelines that were communicated at the outset of the competition.
We understand these may be disappointing, but they are necessary to ensure fairness and uphold the standards of the festival. At the same time, this experience offers valuable lessons, and we are taking steps to improve clarity and implementation for future events.
Thank you for your understanding, your continued support, and for being part of this meaningful platform for student storytelling and disaster resilience awareness. 🎬✨
