𝐀𝐧𝐧𝐨𝐮𝐧𝐜𝐞𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭: 𝐂𝐓𝐔 𝐈𝐦𝐩𝐥𝐞𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐬 𝐅𝐨𝐮𝐫-𝐃𝐚𝐲 𝐖𝐨𝐫𝐤𝐰𝐞𝐞𝐤

In accordance with 𝐌𝐞𝐦𝐨𝐫𝐚𝐧𝐝𝐮𝐦 𝐍𝐨. 𝐏𝐂07-081, 𝐬. 2026, issued by the Office of the University President of Cebu Technological University, the university will implement a four-day workweek starting March 9, 2026. This follows the provisions of 𝐂𝐒𝐂 𝐌𝐞𝐦𝐨𝐫𝐚𝐧𝐝𝐮𝐦 𝐂𝐢𝐫𝐜𝐮𝐥𝐚𝐫 𝐍𝐨. 01, 𝐬. 2025 on the Flexible Work Arrangement (FWA) and aligns with 𝐌𝐞𝐦𝐨𝐫𝐚𝐧𝐝𝐮𝐦 𝐂𝐢𝐫𝐜𝐮𝐥𝐚𝐫 𝐍𝐨. 114, 𝐬. 2026 released by the Office of the President in Malacañang, which directs government institutions to adopt measures that promote energy conservation.

‎Under the new arrangement, non-teaching personnel will report to work from Monday to Thursday, with office hours from 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon and 1:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., completing the required 40 working hours per week. Meanwhile, teaching personnel will continue to follow their existing teaching schedules; however, classes scheduled on Fridays will shift to an online modality.

‎Lastly, the directive requires all 𝐕𝐢𝐜𝐞 𝐏𝐫𝐞𝐬𝐢𝐝𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐬 and 𝐂𝐚𝐦𝐩𝐮𝐬 𝐃𝐢𝐫𝐞𝐜𝐭𝐨𝐫𝐬 to strictly implement the policy as part of the university’s commitment to responsible energy use and efficient institutional operations.

LOOK | CTU Danao ranks 5th in Mechanical Engineers Licensure Exam

Niel Jay Inoc Barong, a graduate of Cebu Technological University (CTU)-Danao Campus, secured the 5th place in the February 2026 Mechanical Engineers Licensure Exam (MELE), with a rating of 90.65 percent.

Released on Thursday night, February 19, the Professional Regulation Commission reported that 3,264 out of 6,294 examinees passed the MELE, reflecting a 51.86 percent passing rate.

In recognition, the university will grant a cash incentive of ₱ 80,000 to each topnotcher who secures a spot from 4th to 10th place.

This achievement adds to CTU’s growing list of national exam topnotchers, a proud milestone for Danao Campus and the entire CTU community.
