Battle of the Sounds – “BIHAGAY”
This Contract Binding Agreement is entered into and made between:

hereinafter referred to as the FIRST PARTY (Sound Owner/s),
and
BancasanLand Festival,
hereinafter referred to as the SECOND PARTY (Organizer),
for the Battle of the Sounds event entitled “BIHAGAY of Sound Boxes”, to be held at:

The event shall be organized by __________________________________________, headed by Mr./Ms. __________________________________________, who shall act as the authorized and responsible person-in-charge of the venue and overall event operations.
I. TERMS AND CONDITIONS
The FIRST PARTY agrees to strictly comply with all rules, competition mechanics, safety protocols, and final decisions issued by the SECOND PARTY and its authorized officials.
The SECOND PARTY reserves the right to interpret, amend, enforce, and implement the rules and mechanics to ensure safety, fairness, and orderly conduct of the event.
II. OFFICIAL EVENT MECHANICS
A. Event Schedule
Day: Saturday
Date: June 6, 2026
Category: 18 Subwoofers Setup
Venue Type: Basketball Court (Open or Covered)
Positioning: Goal-to-Goal, Face-to-Face
B. Competition Proper
1. Objective
To achieve the shortest total accumulated time to knock down all bottles using sound pressure.
2. Bottle Setup
One (1) styrofoam box
Three (3) bottles placed on top of the styrofoam box
Each bottle filled with one (1) liter of liquid
Any bottle that falls, regardless of direction, shall be considered knocked down
3. Three (3) Music Rounds
Three (3) official music tracks
Music shall be played by the designated DJ of the sound owner
Timing stops once all bottles are knocked down
III. FINALE ROUND MECHANICS
Audience Satisfaction Round (Finale)
Extended “sunugay time” play is allowed for audience enjoyment only, subject to organizer control
A steel drum shall be placed at the center between competing teams.
Five (5) minutes of non-stop music shall be played.
Extension of time is allowed only upon mutual agreement of both parties.
Both teams shall play simultaneously.
Objective: Push the steel drum toward the opponent’s side using sound pressure.
Teasing floaters are allowed ONLY during the finale round.
Technical tuning and strategy are allowed only on each team’s own equipment and must remain within event rules.
IV. DECISION AND RESULTS
A. Winner
The WINNER shall be determined based on:
The shortest total bottle knockdown time across all three (3) rounds; and
The longest distance the steel drum is moved toward the opponent’s side during the finale.
B. Draw
A DRAW shall be declared if:
A team wins the bottle knockdown but loses the steel drum push; or
A team wins the steel drum push but loses the bottle knockdown.7
V. PRIZES
The winning team shall be entitled to receive the complete set of eighteen (18) subwoofer boxes belonging to the losing team.
The prize shall include, without limitation:
All eighteen (18) speaker units installed in the subwoofer boxes used during the event, regardless of power-handling rating; and
All internal components and materials, including but not limited to screws, wiring, terminals, fittings, and other installed accessories.
To ensure the completeness, authenticity, and transparency of the prize, the FIRST PARTY (Sound Owner/s) hereby agrees to open all subwoofer boxes for public inspection prior to the start of the competition, for the purpose of verifying the speaker units and internal components contained therein.
VI. PENALTY CLAUSES
A. Minor Violations
(Punishable by warning or time penalty)
Improper setup or positioning
Delayed readiness without valid justification
B. Major Violations
(Punishable by disqualification and classification as BIHAG / DEFEATED PARTY)
Tampering with opponent’s equipment
Use of prohibited settings or devices
Disrespectful behavior toward officials, organizers, or opponents
C. Severe Violations
Physical altercation
Intentional damage to property
➤ Resulting in immediate disqualification, classification as BIHAG (Defeated Party), forfeiture of bond, and possible event ban.
VII. PROTEST RULES
Protests must be:
In writing
Filed within fifteen (15) minutes after the questioned round
Accompanied by a protest fee of Fifty Thousand Pesos (₱50,000.00)
Only the registered sound owner or official representative may file a protest.
The decision of the organizers is FINAL and NON-APPEALABLE.
If the protest is valid, the protest fee shall be returned; otherwise, it shall be forfeited.
VIII. CASH BOND TERMS
Each team shall post a cash bond of ₱________________ prior to the event.
The bond shall be returned after the event provided that:
No violations are committed; and
No property damage is incurred.
The bond shall be forfeited in cases of:
