Mira Nila A designated Philippine Historical landmark and the cherished ancestral home of the Benitez family. Benitez an illustrious educator, legislator and diplomat.

Mira Nila is a Philippine cultural landmark, designated a Heritage House by the Philippine Historical Commission on April 7, 2011. Built in 1929 by Conrado Benitez, a pioneering educator and his wife, Francisca Tirona Benitez, co-founder of the Philippine Women’s University (the first university for women in Asia founded by Asians), Mira Nila became the Benitez family’s cherished ancestral home.

Today, it houses a collection of furniture, books, paintings, ceramics and other memorabilia gathered by Conrado and Francisca and later, by their daughter and Mira Nila’s present occupant, Helena Z.
