Announcement
Re: MTAP Math Challenge

In view of the results of school participation during the Elimination Stage, the MTAP Math Challenge Technical Committee has found it necessary to revise the previously announced guidelines for the Final Round.

As the majority of participating Schools Divisions were unable to meet the required number of school teams, the Final Round will now be conducted using a combined pool of participating divisions within each region. This phase of the competition will now be referred to as the Regional Area Finals.

The list of qualifiers for the Final Round in their respective areas will be posted here soon. Kindly stay tuned for further updates.

Thank you for your continued support and participation.

Saturday Program for Regular and Talented Students
by: The Mathematics Teachers Association of the Philippines, Inc.

The Program for Excellence in Mathematics (POEM), a regular program of MTAP, has been running for several years. However, last school year 2020-2021, it was not offered due to the pandemic situation.

POEM has been participated by schools and divisions in almost all the regions. It has become the avenue for regular students to enhance their mathematical skills, problem solving and critical thinking skills. Similarly, it has provided opportunities for the talented students to be more equipped with advanced knowledge and varied techniques in problem solving. Students who participated in the program have been observed to perform well in the MMC Math Challenge.

This school year, POEM will be conducted through online sessions. It is open to Grades 1 to 10 students who are interested in enhancing their skills in Mathematics.

The online POEM has 2 batches: 1) For Regular Students ; 2) For Talented Students. Each batch has 6 sessions which will be held during Saturdays. The topics for both batches are almost the same. The difference lies on the degree of difficulty of the problems.

Session Schedule:
Batch 1 (For Regular Students):
2021 December 11, 18
2022 January 8, 15, 22, 29

Batch 2 (For Talented Students):
2022 February 5, 12, 19, 26
2022 March 5, 12, 19
