𝗙𝗿𝗼𝗺 𝗿𝗼𝗼𝘁𝘀, 𝘄𝗲 𝗴𝗿𝗲𝘄. 𝗙𝗿𝗼𝗺 𝗯𝗿𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗵𝗲𝘀, 𝘄𝗲 𝗿𝗲𝗮𝗰𝗵𝗲𝗱. 🌱

On March 14, 2026, hundreds of students, professionals, and advocates gathered at Escaler Hall, Ateneo de Manila University to claim their place in building universal health care.

Project LAAN’s Universal Healthcare Summit Summit 2026 brought together voices from 𝙥𝙪𝙗𝙡𝙞𝙘 𝙝𝙚𝙖𝙡𝙩𝙝, 𝙥𝙤𝙡𝙞𝙘𝙮, 𝙡𝙖𝙬, 𝙩𝙚𝙘𝙝𝙣𝙤𝙡𝙤𝙜𝙮, 𝙚𝙙𝙪𝙘𝙖𝙩𝙞𝙤𝙣, 𝙢𝙖𝙣𝙖𝙜𝙚𝙢𝙚𝙣𝙩, 𝙖𝙣𝙙 𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝙝𝙪𝙢𝙖𝙣𝙞𝙩𝙞𝙚𝙨 — proving that no single field can build a health system alone, but together, every discipline has something essential to contribute.

Through discussions, workshops, and conversations that crossed every boundary between fields, participants worked, collaborated, and left with a deeper sense of their own role in building a health system that works for every Filipino. 🇵🇭

This is what years of advocacy looks like. This is what it means to 𝗶𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗿𝘄𝗲𝗮𝘃𝗲 𝗱𝗶𝘀𝗰𝗶𝗽𝗹𝗶𝗻𝗲𝘀 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗮 𝗵𝗲𝗮𝗹𝘁𝗵𝗶𝗲𝗿 𝘁𝗼𝗺𝗼𝗿𝗿𝗼𝘄.

Four weeks after, we still continue to advocate beyond the breakout sessions and the 4 walls of the Escaler Hall! Our passions and our ideas towards equitable healthcare have never left, in fact, they’ve grown stronger. 💪

The Universal Health Care (UHC) Summit 2026 brought together a diverse community of students, professionals, and advocates united by one vision: 𝙖 𝙛𝙪𝙩𝙪𝙧𝙚 𝙬𝙝𝙚𝙧𝙚 𝙝𝙚𝙖𝙡𝙩𝙝 𝙨𝙮𝙨𝙩𝙚𝙢𝙨 𝙖𝙧𝙚 𝙨𝙩𝙧𝙚𝙣𝙜𝙩𝙝𝙚𝙣𝙚𝙙 𝙩𝙝𝙧𝙤𝙪𝙜𝙝 𝙘𝙤𝙡𝙡𝙖𝙗𝙤𝙧𝙖𝙩𝙞𝙤𝙣 𝙖𝙘𝙧𝙤𝙨𝙨 𝙙𝙞𝙨𝙘𝙞𝙥𝙡𝙞𝙣𝙚𝙨.

Held on March 14, 2026, at Escaler Hall, Ateneo de Manila University, this year’s summit centered on the theme “𝙁𝙧𝙤𝙢 𝙍𝙤𝙤𝙩𝙨 𝙩𝙤 𝘽𝙧𝙖𝙣𝙘𝙝𝙚𝙨: 𝙄𝙣𝙩𝙚𝙧𝙬𝙚𝙖𝙫𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝘿𝙞𝙨𝙘𝙞𝙥𝙡𝙞𝙣𝙚𝙨 𝙛𝙤𝙧 𝙖 𝙃𝙚𝙖𝙡𝙩𝙝𝙞𝙚𝙧 𝙏𝙤𝙢𝙤𝙧𝙧𝙤𝙬.” Bringing together perspectives from public health, policy, technology, management, education, and humanities, the summit highlighted the shared responsibility of all sectors in advancing universal healthcare.

Through insightful talks and interactive workshops, participants explored how bridging perspectives can contribute to a more responsive and people-centered health system. Each conversation reminded us that no single field can address health challenges alone. But together, we can create systems that truly care for all.

💡Let this be a reminder that when we come together, we create a future where universal healthcare becomes a shared reality.
