Please mark your calendar- Friday, April 24, 2026 at 6 am as we celebrate our 12th Dasigay Bugsay. This marks our commitment to protect our bay, our water, our fisherfolks and their livelihood, our environment, our mother earth. Let's walk the talk.

Tugbong Festival- Dasigay Bugsay at Pandan Bay is a place and event to go to. Come listen to band music of Pandan Bay Youth Band, visit our Lions Club International booth and learn about environmental conservation awareness, check out our souvenir merchandise, t shirts and caps and the best of all, watch 45 local and 24 neighboring fisherfolks vie for a coveted title of best in rowing and design of paddles and boats.

A record 61 participants from the municipalities of Pandan and Sebaste in Antique and Nabas in Aklan participated in this year's 11th Dasigay Bugsay paddle boat race. Nabas won in both team championship and individual championship categories. The winner in the Individual race and the leader in the team race was Bochoy Beronda of Nabas, Aklan with a total time of 29 minutes 7 kilometer-long race. Congratulations, Nabas Team!

Thank you Mayor Jonathan Tan and Pandan LGU team and Tribu Mangingitang of Barangay Dionela for co-organizing this annual race with the Daughlet Bautista Foundation and Pandan Beach Resort. Thank you to our sponsors DOT Region VI, San Miguel Corporation, Pandan Bay Foundation and to individual donors: Sen. TG Guingona, Atty Ben Candari, Augustus and Rose Fia Gonzales and Thelma Mantac. Dasigay Bugsay aims to promote marine conservation, coastal clean up, health and wellness, community spirit and local tourism. Proceeds of this event will go to Tribu Mangingitang's coastal clean up program.

In 4 days time, Sunday, the 24th of April at 7am, Pandan Bay shorelines will be festive once again for the 11th Dasigay Bugsay Paddle Boat Rowing Competition. We invite you all to join us as we watch our fishermen race from Barangay Dionela at the beachfront of Pandan Beach Resort towards Barangays Bautista, Baybay and Sta Fe with their colorful bancas and paddles.

The Dasigay Bugsay Boat Paddle Boat Race is organized by the Daughlet Bautista Foundation in partnership with Tribu Mangingitang of Barangay Dionela and the Municipality of Pandan, Antique.
