We need to mainstream and embed climate action into our communities and into ourselves. This was the point I raised during the plenary deliberations of the 2006 General Appropriations Bill for the proposed budget of the Climate Change Commission (CCC).
Climate action and environmental stewardship are not the work only of the CCC, government, or private organizations. They are the responsibility of every Filipino. It may sound overused to say that change begins within ourselves, but it truly does, because this is for us, for our families, and for the generations to come.
