tAggiesan took center stage last April 13 as part of the 119th year celebration of our beloved universityโ€”a vibrant activity that truly captured the strength, unity, and spirit of the College of Agriculture. From the intensity of the Quiz Bee and the wit-driven Debate to the energy of laro ng lahi, each moment reflected not just competition, but connection.

Every department showed up with both grit and grace, blending skill, knowledge, and teamwork into a celebration worth remembering. The Department of Crop Science proudly emerged as 1st Runner-Up, proving that excellence knows no boundsโ€”whether on the field, on stage, or in the clash of ideas.

At its core, tAggiesan wasnโ€™t just about winningโ€”it was about shared stories, laughter, and the bonds that continue to grow stronger with every College Day.

The Society of Crop Science Majors proudly participated in the event, contributing to the vibrant Womenโ€™s Month Bazaar at the College of Agricultureโ€”a celebration of unity, creativity, and empowermentโ€”through interactive games and engaging activities alongside fellow student organizations.

With the active participation of students, the bazaar was filled with energy, laughter, and meaningful connections throughout the day. It became more than just an eventโ€”it was a space where the student community came together to celebrate, support one another, and embrace the spirit of Womenโ€™s Month.

After countless hours of data gathering, fieldworks, late-night revisions, and probably a few โ€œstatistical breakdowns,โ€ you finally harvested the fruits of your hard work.

Your thesis proves that great cropsโ€”and great crop scientistsโ€”grow with patience, dedication, and a lot of perseverance. The SCSM family is proud of you for reaching this milestone!

Seeds of future crop scientists were planted on March 9, 2026, as the Society of Crop Science Majors (SCSM) held its Recruitment Orientation at the DCS Smart Room. Aspiring applicants moved forward to take the first step in joining the SCSM community, while current members welcomed them into an evening of introductions, conversations, and a glimpse of what it means to grow with the organization. ๐ŸŒฑ

The event was also graced by the presence of our SCSM Adviser Sir Jayson O. Villamor, Maโ€™am Rosemarie Tapic, and OSAโ€“SOU In-Charge Sir Ernesto T. Jimenez Jr., whose support continues to nurture the organization and its future members.

Right after the recruitment activity, the organization also held the transition between the previous and newly elected set of officers. We extend our sincere appreciation to outgoing President Carlos Miguel P. Rillera for their dedicated service, and we warmly welcome newly elected President Alyza Claire A. Andres as they lead the organization into its next chapter.

The Society of Crop Science Majors (SCSM) proudly celebrated its 29th Anniversary this morning, September 10, 2025 at the SCSM Park.

Brod Jayson Baldos, Brod Jerwin Tajon, and Sis Mylene Tomenes are the alumni who delivered inspiring messages emphasizing the importance of commitment, determination, and solidarity.

The event served as a meaningful gathering that highlighted the organization's continued commitment to excellence in the field of agriculture.
