Very sad to see yesterday that three of the 4 turtles I saw near talisay had fishing line hanging out of their mouth. I wasn’t able to catch them to remove it so looking for a shop and a volunteer to help me catch them and try remove it. If possible for a shop to donate a couple of tanks for the purpose of this. One of the females I saw is one I’ve been following for a while now and it’s very sad to see

We need your help! Please spread the word to customers, dive shops, companies and anyone who is interested! lets start the mission to document and save our turtles in Moalboal. All we need are your pictures / videos of turtles in the area with the date/ time and location where you found them.

If you are able to get detailed shots of the shell and underneath that is even more adventitious to help identify s*x etc

This page is being created to unite several areas in one place.

My names Kristi and I am a diving instructor residing in Moalboal, Philippines and I have a huge interest in uniting our ocean marine life with the outside world through this database where i hope every member of the community can partake in and also to collaborate dive schools in beach and clean up dives.

Bring knowledge and learning to schools through a community outreach program to encourage the children to learn about conservation of our turtles and get involved with naming the ones in the area.

And finally spread the word of our database to divers and snorkelers in the area so they can post and get updates of their turtles.

We cant do anything without you! so get involved!
