After a while riding, you realize it’s really not about the bike—it’s about the legs. I’ve seen guys on basic setups drop riders on expensive carbon bikes just because they had stronger legs and knew how to pace themselves. Sure, nicer bikes feel good and can help a bit, but when you hit a long climb or a tough ride, it all comes down to your fitness and how much you can push through the pain. At the end of the day, the bike just rolls—it's your legs that do the real work.
