Yet despite their critical role, many farmers continue to face serious challenges — including low income, lack of access to modern tools and technology, climate-related losses, and limited support systems. These issues not only affect their livelihoods but also threaten food security for entire communities. In response to these challenges, the Takbong ARBO initiative is being organized to raise aw
areness and generate much-needed support for Agrarian Reform Beneficiaries Organizations, a group dedicated to improving the lives of farmers through education, access to resources, and sustainable agricultural programs. By hosting a community run, we aim to:
• Raise funds to support the organization's ongoing projects and services for farmers.
• Increase public awareness about the struggles farmers face and their importance in our everyday lives.
• Promote community involvement by encouraging people of all ages to take part in a meaningful activity.
• Foster solidarity between urban and rural communities through shared action and purpose. This event provides an opportunity for individuals, families, businesses, and organizations to contribute to a cause that directly impacts our food systems, economy, and environment. Every step taken during the run is a step toward a more secure, sustainable, and equitable future for our farmers.
