A Run for a Healthier FEUture: Champions Shine at TechnoRun 2025
On September 14, 2025, the Quirino Grandstand Parade Area buzzes with energy as students, alumni, and faculty from FEU Tech, FEU Alabang, and FEU Diliman hit the starting line for TechnoRun 2025: A Run for a Healthier FEUture. After years of hiatus, the highly anticipated run bursts back onto the scene, turning a regular Sunday morning into a high-energy celebration of speed, stamina, and community spirit.
Carrying the theme โA Run for a Healthier FEUture,โ TechnoRun 2025 champions fitness, determination, and FEU pride. From the swift 3KM fun run to the grueling 21KM challenge, every stride tests stamina, grit, and focus.
The races kick off at dawn, with the 21KM gunstart at 4:30 AM, followed by the 10KM at 5:00 AM, the 5KM at 5:35 AM, and the 3KM fun run at 6:00 AM. Energized cheers from the crowd fuel the runners as they blaze through the course, turning the Quirino Grandstand into a vibrant arena of endurance and excitement.
Taking the spotlight among the runners is Jay Fajela, who conquers the 21KM category with a finishing time of 1 hour and 35 minutes. Fajela humbly admits in an interview that he did not expect to take first place, sharing that he had little preparation leading up to the run, making his triumph a surprise even to himself. Despite this, his performance cements his name as one of the highlights of this yearโs race.
Other champions also shine. PJ Bautista dominates the 10KM category with a time of 41 minutes, while Glenn Luis Ching claims the 5KM crown in 26 minutes. In the 3KM fun run, Reinver Geff Tomas crosses the finish line first, rounding out the roster of top runners. Each runner showcases discipline and stamina, reflecting the spirit of TechnoRunโs return.
The top three finishers in every category are awarded special prizes, while all participants proudly take home medals, shirts, and sponsor freebies. The event concludes on a high note with a heartfelt performance by the Virlanie Voices Choir, sealing the comeback of TechnoRun after its long hiatus.
Organized by the Student Activities and Development Office (SADO), together with FEU Alabang, FEU Diliman, and FEU Tech, TechnoRun 2025 marks its return as more than just a raceโit is a tradition that celebrates health, determination, and FEU pride.
