SINEPIYU ON JUANFLIX!
Student films take center stage online as the 18th edition of Sinepiyu officially streams for free on JuanFlix from May 24 to 30, 2026.
Organized by the FEU Film Society, this year’s festival carries the theme “DIWA: Mula sa Lente ng Katauhan,” highlighting stories shaped by identity, emotion, memory, and the different realities experienced by Filipino youth.
The annual student film festival gathers emerging filmmakers from different schools and showcases works spanning documentary, narrative, and experimental cinema. This year’s lineup features stories tackling family, grief, community, personal struggles, and contemporary social issues through bold and diverse cinematic voices.
Inter School Documentary features “Asa ang mga Salida sa Leyte?” by Lebron Ponce & Linus Masandag, “PDL 000” by Zechri Jacob Alvarez, “Cemento” by Justine Borlagdan, and “For Better or For Worse?” by Joseph Salas.
All Tams Narrative includes “Where the Cave Ends” by Nix Vergara, “Where Flowers Wait” by Shenna A. Sebaria, “Running with the Fishes” by Angelo Copon, “Irog” by Jo Jovia, “Sangkan Kéng Sininup” by Izee Cortez, “Sa Sinag ni Mama” by Khean Bañez, and “Sabel” by Mon Sumaway.
Inter School Experimental presents “Nakakapagpabagabag Kapag Kinakabag Ka” by Earl Justin Cruz, “Bente-siyete” by Gelo Gibaga, “When Birds Can’t Fly” by Bea Allado, “Sunburn” by Michael John Pedrajas, and “Angono’s Finest Day Care” by Mikyla Mae Alingasa.
Inter School Narrative showcases “Dollhouse” by Jan Ivan Lagong, “Ang Pagmamahal ni Layla de Jesus” by Kimberly Acosta, “La Casa” by Joy Mizpah B. Miña, “Taphaw” by Far Spencer, “Ang Paglipad ng Saranggola sa Aplaya” by Danielle Cusi, “Budang, Badidang, Bebang” by Aika Sanchez, “Cista” by Roniel Udal & Pauloren Capistrano, and “Good Mourning!” by Karla Lois Amihan.
The free streaming event gives audiences across the country access to one of the country’s long-running student film festivals, while also offering young filmmakers a wider digital platform for their work. Viewers can watch the official selections throughout the week-long run without charge.
