Let’s continue promoting awareness, respecting Deaf culture, and creating a more inclusive community where everyone can communicate and connect.

De La Salle-College of Saint Benilde stands with the Filipino Deaf community in calling for an inclusive 2027 national budget that upholds Filipino Sign Language (FSL), accessibility, linguistic rights, and meaningful Deaf participation.

We support the proposed General Provision on FSL in the 2027 General Appropriations Act as a step toward strengthening the implementation of Republic Act No. 11106, or the Filipino Sign Language Act.

Guided by the principle of “Nothing about us, without us,” we affirm that Deaf inclusion is essential to a just and equitable society.
