With the recent announcement of the suspension of classes and flooding in the university, we urge everyone to stay safe and indoors as heavy rainfall and floods continue to affect different parts of the nation. Take the necessary precautions, remain vigilant, and take note of the emergency hotlines.

For those who are still in university grounds, volunteers, safety personnel, and student leaders are continuously preparing and assisting those who are affected. Kindly stay in the buildings to prevent danger.

FREE DOXYCYCLINE AVAILABLE IN UST NOW

For those who may have been exposed to floodwater, free doxycycline is currently available in campus:

Main Building – Pharmacy, Room 220
• Doctor in-house
• Consultation available

Medicine Building (SMDP) – 2nd Floor
• Doctor in-house
• Consultation available

If you have had to wade through floodwater, doxycycline is available at the Health Service, with doctors available for consultation.

However, please avoid wading through floodwater whenever possible.

Please share this with anyone who may need it.

As the rainfall and flooding are currently affecting areas surrounding the institution, we encourage everyone to prioritize their safety, stay at your home buildings if possible, and stay updated through reliable sources.

You may head to the Tan Yan Kee Student Center or the Quadricentennial Pavilion until it is safe to leave the university. Moreover, RCYC staff and CSSO personnel inside all buildings may assist you for any emergency.
