How to Join / General guidelines:
1. The Battle of the Bands is open to all amateur bands (in or outside Palompon Leyte) with youth members not younger than 15 years old and not older than 35 years old.
2. Interested bands are required to audition or submit a video recording of the band's most recent performance.
The videos will be screened and shall be the basis if the band shall qualify for the competition.
Only the first 8 qualified registrants will be the official participants.
3. The band should have a minimum of five 5 members and a maximum of 8 members.
4. Each group will perform 3 songs of their choice with a time limit of 15-20 minutes and will be given a preparation time of 5 minutes.
5. Each band must bring their own instrument, however, full band instruments such as drum set, amps. and other technical riders will be provided by the organizers.
6. The use of any illegal substances are strictly prohibited.
If any band member/s is suspected to be under the influence of illegal substance, the entire band will be disqualified and will be dealt appropriately.
7. A registration fee of 1,000 pesos/band is required to join the competition.
Order of songs:
(1) New Wave Cover
(1) Reggae Cover
(1) Masterpiece Cover
Interested bands must submit their band profile with a group picture and the songs to be performed.
Judging will be based on the following criteria:
Musicality 40%
Voice Quality 30%
Stage Presence 20%
Audience Impact 10%
Bands may not use pre-recorded sound material. All band must play LIVE.
