IN PHOTOS: Residents of Allegra Garden Place and Prisma Residences gathered for the inaugural โKitchen Warsโ pickleball tournament on July 18, 2026, at the Allegra Garden Place Multipurpose Court.
Organized to celebrate the continued growth of the two communitiesโ pickleball clubs, the eight-hour tournament featured four teams with 12 players each. A total of 48 competitors took part in matches marked by strategic play, friendly competition, and enthusiastic support from fellow residents.
The tournament marked a significant milestone for the clubs, which began in September 2025 through the residentsโ shared interest in the sport. From a small group of players, the pickleball community has since expanded to more than 400 members from Allegra Garden Place and Prisma Residences.
Among the tournamentโs highlights was the participation of residents who were introduced to the sport through the clubsโ Pickleball 101 sessions and clinics. Designed for beginners and first-time players, the sessions encouraged residents to learn the fundamentals and take part in community games.
The program initially started at Allegra Garden Place before expanding through a larger clinic at Prisma Residences. Several participants who first picked up a paddle during these introductory sessions went on to compete confidently in the clubsโ first tournament.
Kitchen Wars: Season 1 was held in partnership with Globe At Home, Remomo, Chill Daddyโs Restobar, Cravewell Snacks, Vita Coco, Lakai PH, FWD Insurance, Peter Street Cafe, and Kalos PH Sportswear.
