After defeating a vovinam Russian fighter in the finals of women's fighting -66kg event, 10-0, Hergie Tao Bacyadan secured the Philippines first Gold in 2023 World Vovinam Championships held in Vietnam.

"Sulit pagod, sakripisyo at gutom! " told by the Kalinga Vovinam fighter in an interview.

Bacyadan is also a silver medalist in the recent SEA Games at Southeast Asian Vovinam Championship.

*Vovinam is a Vietnamese martial art with elements from different martial arts, like kicks from tae kwon do, grapples from hop kido, and throws from Judo.

Congratulations to Team Philippines 🇵🇭 for winning 10 Gold medals at the 2023 Hong Kong Asian Cup Canoe competition held at the Shing Mun River, Shatin, Hong Kong.

Philippines won 10 gold while Singapore took home 4 gold medals. Here are the gold medalists.

Filipina skateboarder Rydelle Abarico dominates the 2023 Downhill Skateboarding Championship after clinching her first international Gold medal at Khao E-to, Pranchinburi District, Thailand.

David Sebastian Chanco, also a Filipino skater is 4th place in men's category.

Since 1999, the Philippine Youth Games – Batang Pinoy has staged 13 National Championships, with more than 40 regional qualifying legs across Luzon, Visayas and Mindanao.

Prior to this year's hosting, the 12th edition of the national finals was held back in 2019 in Puerto Princesa City, Palawan from August 25 to August 31, followed by its recent edition hosted by the Province of Ilocos Sur on December 4 to 10, last year.
